Shoe shine by Aristeo. He's 39 years old and has been a shoe shiner for 15 years. Aristeo comes from a family of shoe shiners. His father used to work in the same shoe shine stand, and his cousins and uncles are shoe shiners nearby.
Aristeo's shoe shine stand is located on Av. Francisco I. Madero, in Mexico City Centro.
Madero Av. is a pedestrian street with many businesses, restaurants and shops. Locals and foreigners come to this area to enjoy the public space as well as for shopping. The weekends are especially busy, and the location is near the zocalo.
My black leather high heels needed some shine on this beautiful sunny day. I think Aristeo made them look so shiny that I can even see my own reflection!
