Sakurai straight up said in an interview that Persona 5 is the golden standard for all UIs and that after playing that game he found it hard not to see every other UI on the market as outdated. I think it's fair to say that he was at least inspired by that game's UI. He also stated that he thoroughly enjoyed that game with is only complaint being that it's length made it really hard to complete for a working man like himself.

I mean Cloud and Dante both haven't had their main series games , FF7 and DMC, on a Nintendo console. But Cloud still got in. Dante has been on 3ds spin off games. Dante has been toned down to fit into fighting games rated T in the past. Snake and Bayonetta are also both from M rated franchises as well. There is literally no rules holding Dante back from joining smash.

Bandana Dee is basically my most wanted character, although a have this small hope for getting Grovyle and Celebi from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon as a fighter (even though I don’t know too much about the PMD games, I just think they sound like a cool concept), but that’s not likely to happen, but would be my personal choice for a Gen 3 rep in Smash Ultimate.

If there was a competition for the VN representative, it'd have to be either Phoenix Wright or Arturia (AKA Blue Saber). Arturia is the only character who's appeared in both the Fate VNs AND a game on a Nintendo Console. Plus she's pretty much the face of Fate if not Type/Moon as a whole). And I honestly think Arturia would fit more in Smash than Phoenix Wright would, albeit neither really would fit well. It's why I think Monster Hunter, Amaterasu and Dante would fit more, VNs just aren't a good genre of gaming for Smash. If I were to compare my own hopes to yours in regards to these companies, it'd be: Sega: Sonic, 1 of Tails, Shadow, Eggman or Metal Sonic, Bayonetta Capcom: Mega Man, Ryu, Amaterasu Konami: Snake, Simon, Richter (They already have 3 reps, so no more here, but if it were up to me I'd replace either Richter or Simon with Bomberman) Bandai Namco: Pac-Man, Yuri or Lloyd, Agumon (I'd argue Digimon is a lot more iconic than Xenosaga). Square Enix: Cloud is a given, although the other two are up in the air for me. Neku (The World Ends with You), Geno (Super Mario RPG), Rocket (Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime), Tiz (Assuming you meant Bravely Default), or possibly another Final Fantasy Rep (Of which many of the main characters could work. I could definitely see arguments for Cecil, Terra, Squall, Zidane, Vaan and Lightning) are all potential candidates.

Every person who asks for KH3, or any other high-poly-count Third Party game to come to Switch is out of their fucking mind. The port jobs on DOOM and Wolf 2 got those games working, yeah, but at these huge, ridiculous compensations. Considering that DOOM was already optimized for last-gen and Wolf 2 used a ridiculous amount of dynamic-resolution even on base PS4/Xbone, games that are designed primarily for the PS4/Xbone like KH3 or Ace Combat or DMCV would run at 480p and 20 fps along with graphical downgrades on the Switch. People have to stop thinking 'optimization' is a miracle worker that can make anything run on the Switch, it's ignorant as fuck

I had Metroid Prime 1 & 2 on the GameCube... loved them as a kid, especially the strange multiplayer mode in 2, but I doubt I actually got very far in either game. I played Metroid Prime Hunters and loved the online multiplayer although there is a lot it is lacking from a performance standpoint. I still have not beaten/completed a Metroid game to this day.

Dante is plausible. First off he has history with Nintendo via project x zone 1 & 2. He is *THE* OG 3D action game protagonist, so he's super iconic and relevant. DMC4SE dropped in 2015 when Sakurai was finalizing the vanilla roster. And DMC5 is coming next year, and he'd make a fantastic rival for Bayonetta. And I would like to point out that DMC5 leaker has so far gotten everything that we know right so far. Such as how Nero saves and dynamic music. And as for Matt Walker saying "no" if he's in the Devil may cry team would be under NDA, they can't say anything. So saying no is the best way to throw people off the trail. Plus Matt Walker sent "info" to the wrong person on Twitter.

Every DMC game has sold over 1 million units consistently. And like I said, he had a game out in 2015 and has one coming, mind you the trailers for 5 have broken past the 1 million marker in views. He's the biggest action game character period.

TheNoa77 3DS had the same empty slots thing (before DLC). The way Sakurai presented the amount of stages sounds like the final number to me. He even said in an interview that their goal was to create 100 stages.
