As a D2 midlaner, this is one of the only league of legends channels I can actually learn from. Really recommend to lower Elo players to listen less to other content creators and MORE to this one!!

Hey Shok, first off amazing video! I really think you have some of the most depth in you educational content on the entire platform. One question I have regarding early warding is about how you suggest to ward the opposite pixel to enemy jg start at 2:30 and hug that side. If we ward the side the jungler will theoretically be on wouldnt it be dangerous to hug that side of the lane as we have less time to react to ganks especially from champs like hecarim who can get onto you very quickly? Also, how do you best recommend figuring out which side the jungler starts without using your level 1 ward?
@ShokLeague2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's true you will have less time to react. But I can't really think of a jungler that has that long range ganking power early. For example at 2:30 Hecarim won't have boots so you should have plenty of time to react. Zac will only have 1 point in E which isn't very long range yet. Champions like Noc/Eve don't really have long range ganks until level 6 etc. Basically that early in the game as long as you see them on a ward you should have time to react. You could ward and hug to the other side instead but it would give your team a lot less information, if you were really scared against their mid/jg combo you could do it though. At level 1 just look to see who leashed, if no one leashed just play it safe and ward/hug to your jungler.

Great video as always! What should you do If you play aggressive as a melee champion like yasuo where you should stay near minions to push and cant really hug a side wall?
@ShokLeague2 жыл бұрын
Ideally you shouldn't be pushing most of the time, but if you are pushing then you probably want to push as quickly as you can. Normally melee champions want the wave on their side most of the lane

On Pink wards. I find it hard to justify them most the time. I see so many people recommending them and putting them in places like you described here. But, my experience is they just get cleared out Rather quickly. First time a jg comes river he's just going to clear it. Sure you know he's there now. But within seconds you no longer know where he went. Money wasted. Like in top if I'm playing red side I'll place one in the tri bush cuz it's harder for them to clear. Put it in the long bush along side the river and it's just going to get smoked. I never feel good about my pinks when placed in hostile or even neutral locations.

Honestly not sure, but lower CD on Q will help make a big difference in making his early lane not so bad which is a big reason why he isn't played. So hopefully it helps.

hi shok i have a question, sometimes i know where the enemy jgl is and i lean to the complete otherside, but i am playing cassio and i am behind and the enemy is a voli and mid has no cc and i need to push but i still get killes if i lean because they can catch up. So what do i need to do?
@Charms2562 жыл бұрын
sounds like the problem comes from an earlier spot here where you have started to slow push your wave. Against high mobility junglers I suggest keeping the wave on your side as much as physically possible to avoid these situations, this also gives you more room to extend trades with cassio so you benefit there as well. If you need to get a reset off try to do it when you know the jungler cant come mid or call for jungler to assist your shove if it really is too dangerous.
@ShokLeague2 жыл бұрын
Basically what the other comment said, as Cassio keeping the wave close to your tower is pretty important and naturally you will be very vulnerable when it's pushing out. Try take opportunities to push out when the enemy jungler shows, or call your jungler/supp to help if you don't get an opportunity.
@refused-_-84912 жыл бұрын
@@ShokLeague what if it’s in the first 3waves tho
@ShokLeague2 жыл бұрын
@@refused-_-8491 You should be able to survive just by warding/hugging correctly, but if their gank setup is really that strong then you just can't push 3 waves and aim to push 2 instead.
@zegtronic Жыл бұрын
how do you identify which side a jungler will start on?

Normally you just check to see who leashed, if bot lane leashed then they started bot etc

what are your thought on warding lv 1, if you have ghost poro?
@ShokLeague2 жыл бұрын
You could but ghost poro doesn't actually provide that much vision and people can walk around it easily if they're determined. I wouldn't do it specifically because you have ghost poro, but I guess it makes it slightly better.

the issue with this guide like literally every guide made for mid, is that it doesnt take into account how different low elo junglers play. you can talk about optimal pathing til you run out of breath and then watch 50 low elo games and find maybe 1 guy doing it. god forbid they see an enemy yasuo or something either because they will camp that lane even if it means their nexus is dying. really low elo is just playing super safe in lane and hoping you have jungle diff so you can get ahead otherwise you need to get aheadd in mid gaame from equal or behind. edit- ALSO it ignores that every jungler these days goes over walls and ignores these terrible wards.
