Find my sholley really hard to fold. Men have struggled with it.

I bought one because I have difficulty walking / moving with trapped nerve in my spine. I find moving easier when I lean on supermarket trolley while shopping so I wanted something for personal use which I can lean on in the same way. Unfortunately the big spotty trolley I purchased isn’t really sturdy enough to completely lean on it as I would on a supermarket one…. It tends to tip up from the front wheels, unless I place a really heavy bag in there… but that defeats the whole purpose of my shopper, because I then leave little room for “ actual “ shopping, and getting the pre weighted down sholley out of my front door and down steps then becomes rather difficult for me due to my limited movement. On a positive; it’s beautiful to look at, it glides on the wheels just like a child’s buggy wheels… there’s plenty of compartments, and room for shopping ( provided you don’t do what I have to do by starting off with a heavy handbag in there to weight it down before you shop) I also like the adjustable handle to accommodate my height and also like the easy breaks to secure trolley from rolling off. My suggestion for future design concepts would be to cater more for people with disabilities rather than just elderly people who want stability while walking and balancing. As a woman in mid 40s, I still want my independence dispite disability, and want to feel better about walking aides by using a product which looks fashionable, young, and with innovative design. Please consider designing a handle which withstands the weight of leaning without feeling like it’s about to snap Please consider MORE Sholleys that incorporate a seat. This is such a useful tool when you wish to catch your breath and have no place to rest. Also it would be wonderful to be able to purchase a fold away seat that fits the sholley. I’ve bought numerous fold away walking stick seats / folding stools etc but just not the right size to carry with me. So if you can design an adjustable height seat that folds dow to fit the trolley I’m sure it would be a best seller! I hope this reaches the relevant people!

The rubber tyre came off the back wheel of my trolley making it unusable, when I emailed sholley they have not replied. You would think it would be possible to buy replacement wheels for the user to install at home. Beware, given the price of these trolleys, it is ridiculous that there are no replacement wheels available and that the company does not have the courtesy to reply to emails. I will not ever buy another because there are no parts available and no after sales support.
