THIS is how Takumi is shown to drive. High speed, absolutely GLIDING through the corners. Nonstop sliding with 4 wheel drifting, all while the throttle is being slammed.

@@Venitros how do I know if braking lifts the rear more or gives the front more grip?
@Venitros2 жыл бұрын
@@justkev1044 It simultaneously does both. How much braking affects the front/rear - grip/weight balance is different based on the car setup. I recommend going on a skidpad track and just driving in a circle, then applying the brakes and try to get a feel for the inertia/weight shift/braking force required to smoothly get the rear slipping while controlling it. This is different for each car and each setup. After you learn the braking balance of 2 cars, it becomes much easier to adapt to other cars and situations, since you have 2 good points of reference. Some cars are tuned so they just refuse to slide the rear even when you're turning hard and braking. Those are called the understeery "no fun allowed" cars. Either try to tune the brake balance or try something else.

How do you keep so much speed through a drift, whenever I do it ii can never seem to carry through any speed, and when I do I spin out
@Venitros4 жыл бұрын
Hard to comment on your driving without seeing it, but are you doing braking drifts or handbrake? Braking is harder but faster. Spinning out just needs more practice. Maybe try doing slalom drifts on a long road, or drive somewhere like "drift playground" and try to link every corner drifting. I have a video of that map, called "easy mode drifting"
@Venitros4 жыл бұрын
Adding: When I drive I mostly pay attention to the weight of the car and focus on shifting the weight in a way that causes optimal drifting entry and exit. Other people tend to pay more attention to their technique on how they move the wheel, use the pedals, or timing of actions. I find my style to be more adaptable to different situations. I don't think about my inputs at all, I just move along with the weight of the car. This might be really hard to grasp if you haven't drifted a lot, but I'm just sharing my driving mindset in case it helps.

@@Venitros I always try to do braking drifts, I try to use the handbrake only when I really need to
@Venitros4 жыл бұрын
@@noahyoos5491 That's good, at the beginning I used to always use the handbrake for every corner, but these days I only use it for correcting mistakes. Braking drift is easier when you set the brake bias more to the back but I would recommend learning the default settings. It will make you better in the long run. Maybe try using lower grip % to make the drifting slower until you get used to drifting smoothly with it. I can't really give precise advice without seeing how you drive.

This car is what you call a shitmod. The suspension is made of magic, so it barely reacts to bumps. It also had some weird ass custom tyres that had stupid amounts of grip. A friend of mine edited the official kunos AE86 tyres onto this so that's what I'm using. Still not close to real life though.

@Venitros3 жыл бұрын
The pack car had custom tyres called PG/PD. The physics were really off so my friend replaced the tyres with the tuned 86 SM tyres. Not sure if he changed anything else on it. It's still not realistic at all. The suspension doesn't give a shit about bumps, it just magically glides over them.
