I have never worn false eyelashes and her tutorial on how to apply them/remove them and also this one on how to clean them have been very useful! I think I'm ready for my first time wearing them 😍

you read my mind, yesterday i first used the false eyelashes for an event, and they were from ardell, and i wondered how i had to clean them to reuse them, i would have searched for a video today and magically yours appeared. Thank you !

I never let touch mascara my lashes. I use mascara on my real lashes, let it dry and then I put falsies on ... There is no sense of putting mascara on falsies because u buy falsies for their look and mascara changes this look

I’m usually the same, rarely apply mascara to them unless that’s the look I’m going for. I know many people use them for length and like the ‘mascara’ look, so this ideal for them.

baby oil or no tears on a q-tip, gently rub over your eyes. then use a wet wipe near you b4 you start, so you can use it after the oil step and then wash your face :)

Do you have to use mascara on lashes? Or can I wear them as is? Do they look good even without mascara?

You don’t have to wear mascara with them, I will usually apply mascara to my natural lashes first, so they match the blackness of the false lashes but this isn’t essential. Nor do you need to apply mascara to the false lashes, it only helps with merging them to your natural lashes and if you prefer the ‘mascara’ look. I mostly wear them as-is, it keeps them soft and fluffy! Yes, just gently remove the glue with your finger as best you can before wearing them again, so they don’t look bulky at the root. It’s not necessary to remove every piece of glue but any thicker bits that stand out just remove those, it will help create a smoother seal when you apply them again. These deep clean is only required when they’re looking a bit worse for wear.

I use ardell lashes too & when I clean them like this they always lose the curl and become straight.... looks hideous....

You can always pinch them with your curlers!

I heard you aren't supposed to wet the lash because it can ruin the natural curl of the false lashes

That’s why we curve it over the finger during cleaning and drying, and then making sure to set it back in place on the lash try so it stays curled. You can also give them a pinch with lash curlers.

get baby oil, and w all of these lashes, the gentle antibacterial is a must! i got a stye from not knowing any of this! lesson learned the hard way! clean your eyes b4 they get pimples and get infected! cannot stress this enough!!

Whenever they look untidy. Maybe every couple of uses, just depends on if you apply any mascara to them. If they stay looking nice you can just pull the mascara off and set them back in the box - I would maybe give them a little spritz with a makeup anti-bac spray so that you don’t give yourself any eye problems if you don’t want to wash them every time.

@@ShonaghScott Ok Thank you for replying. I’m a beginner at makeup so your channel is very helpful and straight to the point. Just one more question I am a 440 in Fenty foundation shade and say I was to follow your eyeshadow makeup tutorials down to the T (except my eyeshadow base shade would be a beige or Juvia’s place shade 2 eye primer) would my looks still come out the same colour wise? If this makes sense. I know on my shade to do brighter colours e.g greens, oranges I would use a white eye primer base on my skin to make them pop. Hope this makes sense x

I would always recommend adjusting the eyeshadow tones slightly to suit your skin tone - some eyeshadows on my skin tone that, for example, give a nude contoured effect to the socket wouldn’t look like on your skin tone, even over your eyeshadow base - you could need to go slightly deeper to achieve the same effect. Hope that makes sense? So you can follow the principles and placement, I would just go a couple of shades deeper so that you can achieve the same effect.
