​@@lykosthegodofink nah, its the most matured one that dares to take risk and kill off multiple important characters in tybw. Its also the most influential out of the big 3 inspiring tons of other big shows like mha, jjk, black clover, demon slayer. Meanwhile One piece and Naruto is not that unique as it builds almost on the same structural fundation about "a person wanting to be/achieve" and then follow that through the whole show with the "journey to the west" model which is overdone to death. Also in One piece it repeats its arcs several times, Luffy enters a new island and then there is conflict there that needs to be solved and luffy beats the main villian, zoro takes the second in command and Sanji takes the 3rd.. This is horrible and has been overdone to death by now and it still does it today after 1200+ chapters! This shit would have never happened in Bleach or Naruto as there is dynamic changes in the story with less predictability, but its also the fact that one piece panders more to "children" and is then dumbed down a lot to it being mainly about haki powers like its Dragon ball 2.0 So quality wise Bleach is not the weakest, its the fact people like you believes so due to marketing schemes and the fact the show has been on hiatus for a decade (this was right before Aot, Mha and Tokyo ghoul took over) that would have honestly destroyed any other anime out there.

The fight with aaroniero with hueco mundo where after saying to ichigo “if there’s something in your mind eating at you just be stronger and overcome it “ (she also snaps ichigo of the fear of being a monster) she faces her own demons and survivals guilt she thought she had surpassed in the battle against the 9th espada. Which is also the setup scene for “what is the heart” So she plays a major role in first arc, SS (with the survivors guilt and the shiba family and stuff and ofc her flashback with renji and much more in SS) her character progresses in HM arc. She is the one going around to all the captains (along with issuing and urahara ) to make the reishi blade to give ichigo his powers back.

i feel like a lot of people in this vid did not understand the assignment. A well written character is someone who's integral to the story, has clear motivations/aspirations, is consistant throughout all their showings, can make the audience care for them and in the case of villains how badly do you want to see them get beat while still commanding respect from the audience, add to the story rather than detract from it, and is dam near irreplacable meaning no other character could fill their role within the plot. It feels like most people are purely going off of "I like this character more so they belong in ___ tier" rather really thinking about all the variables that go into a well written shonen anime character. Lets be honest, with some of these characters even though they are dope and its hype when the show up, but can we truly say that they are well written in this current point and time & in retrospect (for Naruto and Bleach since the main run for both series has finished).

Even as a fan of One Piece, Zoro is at least a B tier when it comes to character writing. Also, as a Naruto fan, Sakura isn't as awful as you'd think. She's at least C tier given the romance really hurts her character, but outside of that she is quite well written.

Finally someone who share my opinions. Zoro is a great character, decently well written but nothing too special as of yet in terms of writing, but he's very badass and likeable. Sakura is also overhated, I am not fond of her towards the end but she's not F tier. It's the same with Orihime actually.

@@rando5744 its writing wise, Naruto main cast are grow from a child to a parent with so much development. Its also established year after year to achieve that, its not like Yhwach or Kaguya that just came overnight. And as much i love Urahara and Minato, if we being fair.. Sakura is better in writing terms. Rukia and Kenpachi are good characters that do much to the story too, still not better than Sakura tho, but Yoruichi and Yamamoto.. That's just beauty and power compare to Sakura. Writing wise are 100% below Sakura.

Only S tier characters in terms of Writing BIG 3 :- 1. Kakashi (best written out of all of them) 2. Pain (Best written Shounen Antagonist oat, even better than madara, cry about it) 3. Tr.D.W Law (best written One piece character) 4. Aizen (overall, Best Shounen Antagonist) 5. Doffy (best Villian in one piece, no debate) 6. Itachi/Sanji (Obito deserves to be here idk why he wasn't included, anyways Both have amazing writing, could go either way) I want no Ichigo, Naruto or Luffy MF saying they are S-Tier, No Fanboys of Zoro, Shanks, Mihawk, Kenpachi, Madara, Minato, BB, and no Simps of Yoruichi saying that they deserve to be S-Tier or even A-Tier, all of them are either B-Tier or less

Jiraiya, Pain, and Naruto are 3 of the best written characters in Naruto, and their story is inter-connected too. Law is not a better written character than Luffy, Law is great though, but Luffy gets hella underrated because he doesn't go through crazy changes. Aizen is one of the most overrated villain of all time, people only rank him high because of the meme "all according to keikkaku". I do however agree with the list of Pain, Doffy, Sanji and Itachi, but I have Naruto over Kakashi and Luffy over Law.

The trope in One piece is fighting in a morally corrupt world in order to retain who you are as a person. you dont let the world change you. Losing his crew, ace death. Besides Characters don’t need insane development to be good characters. Luffy is a funny character, he understands his crews emotions very well and is able to understand what they’re going through despite not knowing anything. He brings hope and joy to people. It’s literally stated in the series that he has the ability to make anyone join his side because of his traits. Protects his friends no matter the enemy. Isn’t even scared of the yonko despite being vastly weaker pre time skip. He has way more depth than just being a goofy kid.
