Thanks so much, Shoo! This video helped me draw facial expressions for the characters in my new video comic book. I've written eleven novels (mystery / suspense), dozens of short stories, and a lot of music, and I wanted to bring one of my stories to life in a video, so I needed to draw characters. You've got such a great KZbin channel. Thanks!

I really like the last part where you pull faces in front of the mirror. As for myself, I have a 'poker face' and could not depict emotions this way.

What pen do you use? Do you recommend sharpies for cartoon drawings?
@CT_5710 жыл бұрын
I would, never ever use sharpies. They bleed a lot, you'd be better using even a Pilot pen. If you have a high budget I'd suggest Copic Multiliners
@leethebakingartist31249 жыл бұрын
Ella McLeanTV I'm not sure which brand he uses but Pigma Micron pens are great! Waterproof, doesn't bleed or fade. Mine have lasted a long time & still gives very rich pigmented lines

Hello sir! I have just discovered a new type of waterproof fountain pen ink that will not murder fountain pens like india ink does and isn't the US only noodlers ink for which you would need to pay its price in shipment costs when ordering from europe and maybe you can work out a deal with them similar to what you did with the rotring pen? The company is seated in germany so especially german people get super low shipment costs. I work with fountain pens a lot and always thought of getting that supposedly amazing water proof noodler's ink so I can actually watercolor my sketches without having to keep accidental mixing with the ink lines in mind but nobody near me stocks the darn stuff so ordering from the US would be the only option since nobody else on the planet thinks of producing that type of ink for that type of pen, apparently because fountain pens are mostly regarded as writing tools so there's little value in being waterproof. Fountain pen would greatly compliment your style in my opinion and their only downside of standard crappy, water soluable ink that acts like watercolor pencil when brushed over with water and isn't lightfast at all is eliminated with their type of ink. The black one just arrived for me and now I can do your kind of watercolor trickery with my comfortable, refillable lamy safari pen that has exchangable nibs without having to use a disposable plastic thing that has a terrible grip (in my opinion). It's called the super 5 ink and is a rather novel thing that was released just this year so they may be very interested in some promotion from popular youtuber artists, send you free samples and love you forever. They also produce a pen to go with the ink but I don't know if its calligraphy-esque nib would be to your liking, I haven't personally tested the thing and couldn't tell you if it's good. From what I can see the grip is rather meh compared to a lamy safari but I can only tell so much without actually holding it. So far, the ink works with my normal convertered fountain pen with its rounded nib that acts pretty much exactly like a fineliner you always use and I don't expect that to change since ink is ink and there appears to be nothing special or unique about their ink feeding system. Sorry if I sound like an ad, I just figured you who uses black lines and watercolor professionally all the time would like something like that. A link to their site is here, if you're interested in contacting them: papierlabor.de/en/ Oh, I forgot! The ink also dries pretty fast so no waiting around for half a minute and potentially smearing the lines like you supposedly have to with black noodler's ink that dries slowly.
