Kindles are great - so is your channel! Can you do a film about your tyres? Do you change your own? What makes do you use?

Thanks! I haven't changed any yet, still on the originals. I'm very interested to see if it's something an amateur like me can do. Wouldn't dream of it on the car. I'll look into it!

Congratulations on the 1K subs🎉 Your maintenance videos are great. I stumbled across them last week. My next bike is a CBF so I'll be referencing them in the near future. Also enjoyed your Paris road trip alot! Fellow sillhilian here btw 👏 the roundabout near the town centre certainly is a nightmare at times! Hopefully see you on the road sometime 👍

Everything is a balacnicing act. Used Kindles on and off for a while, the whole digital purchases isn't quite the best but we've all sort off adopted it. Handy if you go away on the bike though

Found myself an interesting channel here. I have a 2023 Honda CB125F and a Honda CB750 Hornet. The 125 is my little runaround and a great little bike, so cheap to run. I particularly like your bike DIY videos which will be useful for future reference. Keep up the good work. Just subscribed.

Thanks for watching! The Hornet does look pretty fun. Some day I'm sure I'll get a bigger bike but for now I'm having plenty of fun. Maybe when I've made all the videos I can think of I'll have to start again with a different bike.

To hell with the bike. Please do a tour of the Cotswolds. Greetings from Melbourne. Spent 2 yrs in your Country. Lovely ! Start at Oxford, and wind down to Bath. Show off your Country ! No need to go abroad, you've got it all on your doorstep. 😊😊😊 Fair dinkum, if I had my time over again (am 78 yo) - I'd apply for perm. resdence in UK - save like mad, & buy a small farmlet in the Cotswolds, few sheep, a lazy dog, couple of ducks for the pond. Would do me nicely. A chap I worked with at FW Woolworth and Co. -Scarboro' said to me on one occassion. "I hate you Australians, you're all very rich and all very volgar" Well, this one isn't !

Sounds great, and pretty easy to do. I can get to Oxford on a day trip from here. Are you still riding in Australia?

Regular servicing is essential but you do trust the garage to do a good and thorough job

That's the thing. A really good mechanic is so hard to find now. That's a topic for another video for sure. Even if you are going to use one, there's no substitute for being your own expert.

Hi Richard Thank you for your latest video,if you get chance would you do a video on why you chose the Honda,how and where you found it, and any other interesting info about it.Thanks Steve.

Thanks that's a great idea. I have a review of the bike, but why Honda in the first place would be good. The short answer is, years ago I gradually bought nicer cars, as you do when you get older, but I still got higher and higher mechanic bills. One particularly new and nice Ghia nearly bankrupted me, and I learned main dealers don't give a damn, and a newer car isn't more reliable. I literally googled, what's the most reliable car in the UK and at the time it was the Jazz. Small, Japanese and reliable. Seemed 'too small' at the time but I was that upset I just bought one, and never looked back. I've had three now, and love the quality from Honda.

Shep and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance - think I heard them play at Glastonbury a few years back ;) Potential topics for the next shooting of sh**s - why you started biking, your journey from CBT through to full licence?

Definitely need to talk about that. Why we ride. Thanks for watching!

I have serviced my vehicle at the authorised service centre off Honda and they have poured JASO MB rated engine oil in my CB 125 which is not recommended I think. Should I be worried about that.
@richardshephardКүн бұрын
I'm not an expert, but I see MB oil is used in scooters or vehicles that don't use the same oil as the clutch. What's your bike? If they've used the wrong one you could ask them to redo it, and you'd effectively get a free flush out. It won't do any damage for a short time, but if it's the wrong kind I wouldn't leave it in there long-term.

You can't please all the people all the time -- for the few complaining about music there are likely plenty of people, me included, that appreciate a well-chosen piece of music inserted in the right place. The sound of a CB125F engine isn't really that entertaining!
@richardshephardКүн бұрын
It's funny, I was watching a tutorial on something the other day and found myself wishing they hadn't put music over it. I think it was because on a how-to instruction video, when the music is over the talking, it's annoying. On a vlog, or for dramatic effect or cover some riding with no talking it's different.
