This is the clear evidence that comedy can actually enhance every other genre, if done right. This was so profoundly complete (hilarity, drama, plot twists - also just the acting in general) that it's nothing short of a masterpiece. No, you can't convince me otherwise.

Holy heck, I feel like AJ has the best time playing villain roles😭😭 every chance they gave him a chance for redemption he shut it DOWN and made it so much darker so quickly AHSJHSHA AND WE LOVE HIM FOR IT!! As always Luke’s grieving always gets me HOW DOES HE DO IT SO WELL that little moment he held his hand at 24:14 just broke me bro :( You guys react so freakin well to each other!! Like the plot twist as Tom “hints” at his life force being drained, and AJ’s set up for the freakin horrible puppet joke to make the Don hate him😭 I feel like the characters in this one were so well fleshed-out, everyone had their own motives and personality and just 🤌🤌 what a delightfully lovely (and stomach dropping horrifying) play!
@Aria-529Ай бұрын
I HAVE MANY EMOTIONS! This play was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Pinocchio has got to be one of Tom’s best characters now. He must be protected at all costs. AND the Don wanting to have another son after losing his was so sad, and him about to kidnap Pinocchio to do it made me scream, haha. ALSO HIM HAVING TO PLAY THE DON AND THE BROKEN WOODEN BOY SENT ME! Gave me flashbacks to Toby’s Secret Pocket where Tom and Luke had to do the same with their characters. Luke’s crying was AMAZING ACTING, poor guy had to lose a son twice. AND THE FAIRY AND THE BIG SISTER. Sam was perfect in those roles. Kinda expected him to do something similar to Lady Margery while being the fairy. OVERALL, PLAY WAS AMAZING AND I ENJOYED IT SO MUCH!❤

I’m now starting to believe Tom plays child characters just to see what it would be like to be shorter than all of them lol (and, of course, to get away with correcting AJ without any tension). This was an absolute masterpiece and I highly enjoyed watching it. I’m still processing how it is humanely possible to create such a masterpiece without one word being scripted. You guys are living legends! Everything was on point, and for all the old film geeks out there, I would like to point out the VERY subliminal reference to Metropolis (1927) when Tom holds the hands of his Papa (Geppeto/aka Pignatza) and Don Vincenzo at the end, the same as the son of the leader of the workers, Freder, holds the hands of his father & another worker symbolising the HEART in “THE MEDIATOR BETWEEN HEAD AND HANDS MUST BE THE HEART!” Sending love from Sydney, Australia! 🇦🇺

I love so much seeing how in tune you all are with each other, it’s so beautiful to watch. The moments where you have to clarify things are hilarious (like Sam checking with Tom if he was a flashback or what) but just seeing the moments where you understand each other instantly is so amazing too (like Luke seeing Tom do the whooshing motion of the “life force” and immediately understanding the scene change). This is definitely one of my favs of yours now! (Alongside the cube and the unrelenting aubergine ofc) I love all your shows and I really hope you can come to Australia soon so I can watch some live!

It really amazes me how they manage to make the dark stuff so enjoyable too. When I think of a play that felt the "heaviest" it's definitely this one, but at the same time I freaking LOVE it, I rewatched it several times already. Like, it's dark, but beautifully dark, and not in a repellant way💔 The guys are true professionals🥹 (Now that I think about it, it's probably so dark because of Luke's and AJ's indescribably good acting :D they had much worse topics in the previous plays, but they played it out much lighter than this one, with Luke's VERY realistic crying and AJ's phsycho wooden boy that gives me chills every time I watch this xD And I mean this in the best way possible, I think it benefited the play SO MUCH because it made me feel truly strong emotions🤩)
