Yes compound use center shot to remove archers paradox but that's when the arrow is centered on the rest and knock. Arrows flex nomatted what, that's why it's really important to know what the proper spine is for your bow. Those arrows were knocked wherever throwing center shot out of the window. Matt is usually very careful in his videos and is awesome in general but this one was very dangerous.

Nerd-out time: Shooting 2 arrows would NOT cut the kinetic energy of the arrows in HALF (when being compared to one arrow.) What you're suggesting is a "1 to 1" linear relationship. And, the equation used to convert potential energy to kinetic energy squares velocity. Matt, as for your question, of whether I would want to get hit with one arrow or many, in my opinion, it is as if I would as you: would you rather lie on a nail mat or lie on a single nail? Or: Would you rather get hit 20 times by a small kid, or sucker-punched once by a boxer? Its physics: On a lot of nails, your weight is spread out, but on one nail, all the weight is concentrated on one point, so the nail would go in you. Same thing with the arrows: Since the force is spread out between multiple arrows, the hits are weaker. I think all of the text above revealed what I chose, but here it is once again, just to be sure: I would definitely get hit by multiple arrows.

As for getting shot with 1 arrow at 100% power versus 5 arrows at ~20% power each, let me approach this with a few assumptions on dataz from the video: if one arrow will stick in me about 8" and 5 arrows will each stick in me about 2", I'll take the five lesser wounds. Further assuming I was shot while standing still, facing the shooter, those five arrows are going to land in some really God-awful unpleasant places, but 2" on any of those places is better than 8" in a vital organ. And finally, as far as "Demonetization Ranch" goes, I'm glad to hear Matt has a backup plan, but I predict that if KZbin keeps playing merry hob with creators' income, there will be offshoot services like "GunTube" or something, if it doesn't exist already. Necessity becomes the mother of invention in such cases. I'm glad to see Demo Ranch is still going strong (at least from what I've seen), though I doubt KZbin is done futzing with their policies. For my part, if KZbin ever axes Demo Ranch or any one of a few other channels I enjoy, they'll discover just how angry a penguin can get. Obstreperous defenestration may be involved.

I’m not sure I’d take the 5 arrows. Even if the theory is correct and they’re 20% power, 3 inches is enough to be lethal, 2 inches is enough to pierce areas where they could be lethal. it's possible to make the arrows spread out after leaving the bow but you have to arrange the angle. if you make all the heads stick together it's going to all hit in the same target, however, if you stick all the tails together the heads of the arrows will distance itself away from the other heads making it possible to hit over 1 target.
