Walk and Talk scenes are a great way to communicate a lot of information quickly, but they come with their own challenges. Today we take a look at what goes into a good moving dialogue scene.

I discovered your channel and when I get my moving completed I would like to check out your classes. Glad we have digital now. I shot a short on 16mm film back in 1972. Three minutes of film cost $15.

Could you make a video named ”What a writer actually do”? I have always wondered what their role in the studio is, when the script is finished.

Hey I’m a huge fan but just wanted to flag to you that these pieces are incredibly well put together and informative and it’s a relief not to here cliched background tracks filling up space but I think your usual ebullient energy is flagging a little and these are coming over as authoritative but perhaps a little down. No grinning or awesome expletives needed but just wanted to give a friendly “cheer up” to the otherwise excellent content. Thx and I genuinely hope all is well.

Thanks! So simple but I always wondered how would be the best way to shoot it. Where would you hide the LAVs on the two actors in this clip though? Worried about rustling sounds.
@Crimsonengine
@Crimsonengine 2 жыл бұрын
You can do lavs or you can have someone walk beside and boom it. A properly attached lav mic shouldn't rustle unless the person is really running.

What if they’re walking through shade and then direct sunlight how do you get it so it’s not underexposed when in shade and not overexposed for when they’re in direct sunlight

As usual, thanks for the great videos. Question... In the video you said you were using the FP-L, yet the gear description shows just the FP. Can you please confirm which one you were using in the video. Thanks.

Hi there! - but what you do with the dialogue-Audio when you shoot coverage with one cam? when you shoot mediums or close ups from different angles, with the same one cam, the audio quality must be exactly the same, and you must not have some atmosphere noise on the mics, or everyone will notice it, that this is the audio from another take. Ok, when you shoot the speaker from over the shoulder or behind, t h e n you can use the audio of the wide shot, when the actors played through the whole scene, but what if you have a cut where the mouth of speaking actor should be visible from another angle? - t h e n you have to record the audio of this angle new, o r the actors speaks e x a c t in the same rhythm and timing so that you can synchronize the white shot audio over the coverage...I'm about to shoot a dialogue short with one cam, that's why I ask...Thanks!
