I'm not a photographer, but this reminds me of a big trip I did just outside my city years ago at the crack of dawn in the middle of winter, taking photos of mundane objects and the rolling hillsides with the mountains in the distance. Really gave me an appreciation for the world at such a peaceful time of day.

Here in Belarus I go to my day job when it's still dark and then come home when it's already dark, so not a lot of choices for day light photography for me ;)

How do you describe it ? Too much grain for 400 ? Low contrast ? Do you suggest shooting it at box speed ?
