Getting into film photography after being interested in it by my uncle's friend! Cinestill 800T is one of the films I'm dying to try when I get my first film camera! Helped get a view on how it shoots, thanks a ton!

great video! was just wondering if you had any tips with shooting with the EOS 3? do you recommend shooting on Manuel setting? do you ever go wide open with your lenses?

Since this was my first time shooting Cinestill 800T I shot in either aperture or shutter priority. But I have shot manual on the EOS 3, mainly during daylight. It’s good to learn manual and sunny 16 for shooting film. If you’re used to using a Canon DSLR, a Canon EOS 3 feels familiar at least to me. And I do go wide open with my lenses!

Awesome photos! As a little recommendation for the next vid, try a room with less echo or put the mic closer to you, makes the audio way cleaner :) Keep it up!

Noted! Thank you, my camera doesn’t have mic input so trying to figure how to make the audio better.

For that opening shot of the mall where did you meter for? I always have trouble with that stuff
@nicomadic64792 жыл бұрын
I think I metered the lights from the food stands!

Thanks for sharing your adventure. Just for future reference this film seems to like being overexposed a bit. I set the ISO @ 200 & use my camera's meter, for my best results.

Maybe I’ll try that next time!

Nice shots. Actually, I envy you guys living in the US because you guys can afford to buy film rolls. I like film photography but I realized that film rolls have become so expensive. Thanks for the Video I know film photography need tons of time and resources. I'm glad that I find this good channel.

I think a Jackie Chan movie was filmed their called Rush Hour with Christ Tucker….I think it was Rush Hour 2 or maybe Rush Hour 3 way back in the early 2000’s

The first Rush Hour was filmed at one if the restaurants in Chinatown. I think there is huge sign on the restaurant saying it was filmed there lol

How do you meter at night ?
@nicomadic64792 жыл бұрын
I use an app called Lightme. I also shot most of these in aperture priority, used a tripod in some shots, and a cable release. You can also use a DSLR to meter, but that is kind of a hassle.
