You're not off with those lights, Jason. They switched them from incandescent to LED lights some time back. The LEDs don't have quite the same color temperature of incandescent or (traditionally) sodium vapor. So, your Tungsten balanced film renders the color of those lights as a somewhat muted yellowish tone.

I wonder if you put a more reflected coating on the pressure plate of a camera if it would increase the amount of halation similar to what you get from cinestill, given that they claim that this is what causes the halation in the absence of the remjet layer.

Marco Tigani Oh Hey Hey! Im glad you asked! 🥳 Sooo I’m taking readings of each exposure I take so that I have a reference for what my exposure settings were for each shot. I’m actually taking two photos exposed for different light levels. One for the Ambien exposure and a spot meter reading for the brightest lights. It’s a way for me to get to know the film better in the long run. 😁
@marcustiga5 жыл бұрын
Bad Flashes thank you so much for finding the time to reply to me. Now I understand why you do it, and it totally makes sense. Do you think you'll ever tackle this subject in any video? I think it's very important and super helpful. Would love to see it happen.
@BadFlashes5 жыл бұрын
Marco Tigani Of course! Always down to share techniques with others! Yeah I’m definitely going to make a video on it soon. I’ve actually been doing a long nighttime project for a few months now where I go around LA and take do long exposures of massive signs. I have quite a number of places to hit before I’m done with the project. If only I didn’t have a pesky day job taking all my energy haha
