Often overlooked, pulled Tri-X @160 is wonderful for shadow and highlight detail on sunny days.

Fantastic video, you guys work well together! Because of this the video was fun and informative. I love B & W film Tri-X is a favorite. I currently have a barely started roll of Kodak 400 CN in my F100 but after this I’ll be putting a roll of Tri -X . 😊❤

good shots Bri, and don't worry, with Hasselblads you get to know them in time, practice metering and 'know the light' aka for this scene (at 4:36), from my experience, thats an EV 13-14 ish shot; a tip, learn the EV's on the lens (the orange numbers and arrow on the bottom of the lens); once you set metering, see the EV, then if nothing changes, KEEP THIS, and push the ring "interlock", and adjust for dof and speed, by turning BOTH TOGETHER, that simplifies things in a way. a further tip, use a mirrorless camera to meter (with spot/center weighted metering set, and +2 EV comp. on the meter, and asa and iso aligning), that way it 'mimics' film based hand held meters. {if you encounter glare/flare in the viewfinder, get an ND filter and lens hood on the lens, this solves most of this issue, making them a highlight, NOT a distracting glare}.

Punchy contrast and beautiful grain. May Eastman coat this stuff for at least 70 more years!

Love my Mamiya NC1000S (slight tweak to the NC1000). The 35mm TriX seems a little more mid-tone-ee and a tad less contrasty than the 120 -- I have seen that too. I shot high-school yearbook photos in 1980/1981 on my Nikon F with TriX -- great, historic film....

Nice photos everyone. I have original tmax and tri x from the 90s in my fridge. Someone gave me heir fridge worth of film since they were strictly digital. I am more of an ilford fan but will schoot any type of 120, 620, instant and 35mm film. I also have 220 film.

Not to brag, but I just updated my film inventory last night and I have 33 rolls of TriX in my freezer. All bulk rolled.

70 years old? So does this make Tr-X the Grain-Mother of todays B&W films?
