ya its a bonus..to share jpeg pics to friends and good quality images when you don't feel urge to edit the pictures. The blues look much similar in various simulations. I think other colours like green and more will differ in a more visible way then the blue skies here

Ever since I watched Joe Allam’s video on this I’ve been trying to do it myself. Definitely feel I have to think about each shot a lot more ! Enjoying the simplicity of no editing though!

Yesss you're way more invested in each shot hey! Oh it's actually refreshing getting a nice photo without editing!

Just grabbed a x100f so have binged a bunch of your videos. I’m coming from only shooting film so there’s a learning curve in getting a good exposure. I’d like to see some more jpeg content if you’re up for it!

Great shots man.. enjoyed watching you test out those other simulations. Think we might have to snap a few with astia soft now!

Amazing video as always! Would love to see you use film simulation recipes in the future. Fuji X Weekly has some great recipes to begin with if you want to expand your work using jpegs only 😅. Still, great content man and Keep it up! Cheers! 💯🔥

The colors in your still jpeg shots look so much better than the colors in your video (way too yellow). Did you use the same Fuji camera for the stills and the video? Different color grading or different film simulations for the video? I agree, ASTIA looks the best. I don't know why so many reviewers say jpegs can't be edited. They most certainly CAN and edited to a great degree, almost to the extent that a RAW file can. You can shoot a basic jpeg in camera and then do a tremendous amount of correcting, editing and enhancing in Photoshop and other programs. But trying to both shoot a jpeg and edit it in camera WILL be limited. Take it into Photoshop and the possibilities are endless! Today's cameras have a tremendous amount of dynamic range and latitude for editing. I wasted a lot of time and computer storage space on RAW files -- and I do professional paid assignments. For years now I have shot jpegs only. My clients have loved them and I have never felt held back by those jpegs or been disappointed. But it takes time to learn editing skills, learn BASIC photography skills and keep learning. A lot of people don't want to do that. They're under the illusion that the camera should just capture a perfect jpeg and no editing should be needed. WRONG. Every photo benefits from some editing. The other misconception is that JPEGs can't be edited except in a very limited way. WRONG. With photography and editing skills, jpegs have great latitude in editing and turn out stunning! I think your early in the day ASTIA shots are the best. Thanks for the vid.
