Here’s what I wish. I wish we could install a little Strike Industries style folding or collapsing stock on pistols without a tax stamp and still be legal. Or something like the B&T USW

In the real world the odds are vastly weighted that you will face a thug encounter up close and personal. You have something that the thug wants to take from you which means he will be close enough to grab you. He has scoped you out as prey and is going to be younger, much faster and stronger than you. He will be able to cover the ground between you two in a nano second. Adrenaline will take over. Trigger pull and recoil won't matter. The vast majority (especially women with their carry purses) will never get their gun out in time to save themselves. If you cannot draw superfast, use a point and shoot with either hand and if necessary from the hip or from even inside a pocket, you will be a victim. All this take a military stance, hold your breath and align your sights will get you killed. It's only value is shooting for dollars at the range with your buddies.

Developing a solid foundational skill set, such as Miles teaches, won’t hurt when it comes to learning how to use a handgun for personal defense. In the real world, many people want a handgun for home defense, in which case, the better you can control your firearm, the better. Everyone should learn how to properly shoot and control their firearm before leaving the house with it.

There keeps being all this focus on handguns and not real weapons. Guess we need to learn secondary weapon usage, too.
