Been reading 'The Guerrilla's Guide to the Baofeng Radio' recently and there is a great line in the introduction. "the guerrilla, the dissident, the political activist, must arm himself with what he has rather than what he wished he had." Train with what you have people. @barriocrusader forget the license. Unlock a HAM baofeng and program the GMRS/FRS and MURS channels. Use the GMRS/FRS channels for the range and general purpose. No one cares. Don't use any HAM frequencies or any repeaters unless it's an emergency. You should have the common HAM "calling bands" saved in your channels as well as the global distress frequency. Get your local EMS, fire and police frequencies for monitoring happenings. Set all other channels to "skip" so the radio only scans emergency services. Oh and NOAA weather.

For an advanced drill I would recommend something that involves manipulating the different functions on your lasers and lights for when there you have highly varying light conditions. One that I like the most is have you buddy call out how you engage the target example: passive aim(with NODs)/active aim(with NODs)/white light/vis laser/peeking under your NODs etc. to get reps in on switching from one condition to the other.

In regards to practicing. People tend to practice what they are good at, cause it’s fun. You should always use what I call the inverse pyramid to practice what you are the worst at, once that thing isn’t the worst, practice the next thing. When I started playing Hockey in N California it was new to the state. I quickly realized people can’t skate backwards and can’t do reverse cross overs. I practiced those over and over and even though I mostly sucked, I became a valuable (in relation to my teammates, we were all noons) defenseman.

Great Video! VERY realistic type of training. Now for a couple of opinionated suggestions. Love the cold start drills, we ALWAYS go from COLD! The only thing I'd add to any of the rifle / pistol stuff.....add in movement! Shoot and move! Shoot from odd positions, around corners, etc. Be a realistic as possible! Add in failure drills for both weapons! TQ drills...nice touch! Buy crappy amazon practice TQs for training. BUY GOOD ONES for REAL use! Use other shooters as patients that have been hit!!!!!! 30 sec is a very good time hack! I personally carried 4 TQs on my kit - 2 on the front and - 2 on my belt, plus one on my buttstock! Also had 4 more in pack!!!! All my vehicles have 3 TQ minimum along with IFAKS! Home defense inside the home will be STUPID LOUD without suppressors on rifles, pistols are very brutal as well. Just be aware for newer shooters!!!!!! And final opinion. Targets. We use 6" steel plates at distances past 10M and for up close we use 6" paper plates. If you can hit 6" at any distance accurately both stationary and moving, you'll have zero issues!

Unpopular opinion that could get me flamed lol, hunting should be a part of your preparation plan because eventually you’ll run out of stored food and you’ll have to find a way to get more and the best way to do that is to know how to hunt, and not the on private property type but out in the mountains and tracking the animal type, you’ll learn tracking and food preservation without it being done for you

Good point, but I suggets learning how to grow your own food before prioritizing hunting. If you have a good setup with minimal land you can farm year round, hunting highly dpends on landscape, location, population of animals etc. It's really easy to overhunt and kill all the deer and rabbits in an area if everybody goes hunting at the same time. Learning to farm and make your own food reduces overall total risk and provides essential nutrients you need to survive.

@niklaskoch49312 ай бұрын
@@eagerweevil6221It‘s not about the trigger, it‘s about pretty much anything else. Beltloops, pieces of fabric, thick loose seams or maybe even your underpants crawling up during walking and now hanging over the opening of your holster. Basically, most off, or at least a large percentage of ND‘s happen due to something else than your finger being in the way of your trigger when putting the gun back, instead of when pulling it out. That‘s why it‘s taught to always look into your holster and reholster slowly. And on top there‘s simply never a need to reholster fast since you engaged the target already imho. This stuff here is downright dangerous and just looks cool on video. Shouldn‘t be on an educational channel this size.

And later on when I was doing law enforcement training, that prior experience actually gave me an edge in applying tourniquets, and I actually won an interdepartmental challenge for applying one quickly. Firstly, it's a tactical reload so you're keeping those leftover rounds. Secondly, it would be faster to just drop the pistol entirely but that's not the skill we're measuring here.

Given the ever growing risk of engaging enemies/opponents wearing lvl 4 plate carriers why not train to hit the pelvic aerea where there are large blood vessels and where the femur attaches to the pelvic bone? any hit there provides a high chance of instant immobilizing damage and exsanguinating haemorrhaging catastrophic damage

Or just practice a bill drill center mass. 6 fucking shots in an anus size grouping will crack your plates no matter it steel or ceramic. You will be dead. The standard imo should be from 1m to 25, hit that bill drill in 3 seconds max, then work from there. Keep solid cadence between shots and have good trigger prep.
