Not sure why at 12:20 and during the corrections later, you ruled out 3 from R3C6 which it could have been.

yeah that was a lucky guess... although it is possible to determine the 89 pair in box 2 first, which places the 2 into R3C6.

first 3 was only forced after the 89 pair in box 2. It could follow 2 from box 5

Pretty sure you got lucky eliminating 9 in R5C6 when you did.

No, that's correct because of the 9 pencilmark's in R4 C1 and C2. This stops R4C7 being a 9 which it would have to be if R5C6 was.

R7C3 was prevented from being a 6 by the 4 up the thermo. But R8 still looks possible for me...

Slow thermos can be fun, but they also can break my brain sometimes. I had to backtrack a lot from missing possibilities, springing from thinking about them as regular thermos sometimes. Sigh. Got there in the end. My time was 30:21, solver number 929.

At 20:25, R8C7 could have been a 2 too.

As well as the other (lucky guesses??) mentioned, at 21:49, I don't see why the 9 HAS to be on either thermo in column 8 rows 2 and 3. Why can't row 4 column 6 be a 6 followed by 6, 7 on that thermo and row 5 colum 6 be an 8 followed by 2 more 8s?

Your correct. It can be a triple 8 run instead on one of the slow thermos
