Whenever I listened to this song I'd remember my time in high school where I'd just lie in the dark & looked out the window into the night sky while listening to this song, and feel so comforted that at least a song understands me.

Esmaro same, although mine was outside lying on the car looking at the stars. Thinking and feeling the same thing though. I think there were probably so many more than we'd even think doing the same thing.

It was a very amazing song which reminds me of the struggles i've been through for years and it's a very important song for my dad who passed away due to cancer and i was very 😥 about it that he's now in a better place as an 👼, but he'll always be in my ❤ until the day we all die and go to heaven with him.

It's a pity that this lovely song never made it into the movie, instead we got Go The Distance which while not a bad song doesn't convey Hercules's feeling of loneliness and otherness brought about by his superhuman strength. At least till he was trained to use his power.

I agree - I first heard it when I was in college and it really struck a chord with me (I'm an Aspie and it summed up my general life experience), and I searched for it on CD for ages after. Was hoping to hear it again when I watched the movie on VHS (yes, really XD) with someone on a night shift and was disappointed. It's not my favourite song from the movie but it's still the most meaningful one to me.

Before I saw the movie Hercules, I was given a Disney compilation with this song on it. When I went to see Hercules, I remember thinking "Where's Shooting Star?". It wasn't even on the end credits!
