Shootout heard in Atlanta Police bodycam video | Clearing 'Cop City'

Atlanta Police Department body-worn cameras capture the moments officers responded to a shootout between GSP troopers and Manuel Esteban Paez Teran, an activist known as Tortuguita who died in the gunfire. A trooper was also shot. APD footage does not show the shooting but is part of the GBI investigation.
Authorities were conducting a clearing operation at the future site of the Atlanta law enforcement training facility on Jan. 18. For more than a year, activists with the "Defend the Atlanta Forest" movement have occupied the site they call "Cop City."

Is that what it sounds like? Well, what you hear is an Antifa member shooting at a police officer and the police officer shooting back. The police officer was shot and is in the hospital. And the Antifa member wasn't so lucky he died that's what happens sometimes when you shoot a police officer.

Did I really just watch an entire pod of LEOs administer a “less lethal,” chemical deterrent on themselves? (36:45) After firing the pepper spray or tear gas rounds, one of the officers confidently states that anyone near the tent would be coughing… Immediately before they all walk right up to the tent… and start coughing… It’s like a Monte Python skit or something.

If you can't see the footage of shooting I would suspect foul play I heard them say to make sure camera's are running and that being said there is a very high chance of foul play

They want the cameras on for exactly that if something happens. They will have a point of view from officers to prove they were all in the right or wrong. Sometimes boast cameras work in the way of the suspect as well. That doesn’t mean foul play the because cops got to calls with the intention that the worst possible outcome could be exactly how it turns out. The reason for that is because if they don’t it could mean their lives. Complacency kills stay awake stay alive. They stop and tell a guy that he’s got a flat tire and it could turn out to be a nightmare. So its not a bad thing to say everyone turn your cameras on and definitely doesn’t show intent of bad things happening.

cops cut the tents as its a removal team. cops dont care about the tents as they are going to be trashed. its also safer, as the cops dont know who or what is in them. thus they cut from the side first so someone will have a harder time lunging at them with a knife also makes it so if the suspect has a gun, they are trapped in a box while you can back up. as you could only see shadows from the inside. probably other reasons like traps and stuff tldr: cutting them just removes variables copied and pasted from a different comment but it seamed applicable. also, there is no strong light coming from the inside so the cops wont be able to see inside.

Covering the body-cam is a red flag cutting up the tent for what reason in the woods don’t make any sense there are so many people under bridge’s in Atlanta with tents in plain sight destroying the tent in woods and not the once’s under bridge is kind of backwards to me they should have the body cam on from the jump see this is why you can’t trust them

Well first they had their personal property on property they didn't own rent, etc. And it was my understanding they were told to leave the property several times but they didn't do so. The city of Atlanta owns the property.
