When we bought our house, there were some out buildings that I was looking at turning into my shop. After living here for a year and a half, I am finally getting started on the conversion. This small one was being used as a wood shed, and for storing yard tools. It needs quite a bit of work, but I'm looking forward to finally having my own space. I began forging in 2012 and this will be my first shop.

When we were digging for the footings, to support the sill, we unearthed a very large rock. I decided to cut it and use it for the front step up into the shop. I also used a lot of the rocks we dug out from inside the shop footprint to fill and grade away from the front of the shop.
