This video is about the electric heater I'm installing in my shop. It is a challenge for me to heat a 2,000 sqft shop. I looked at all sorts of shop heaters and chose the Comfort Zone CZ2060ER 10,000 watt electric heater. This heater is capable of heating 1500 sqft. I will be building a 500 - 700 sqft room in the shop in the future so this should be good going forward.

Hey Jake, Thank you so much for this video!! I have a 1200 sq. foot video studio with 18ft ceilings. The building has limited power options so I needed a single heater for the whole space. A buddy of mine (an electrician) and I followed your directions and suspended the unit 13 ft. off the ground. I was worried about the sound of the heater but it's not loud at all! We've had it up for about 2 weeks now and its awesome. Current outside temp is 32 degrees and 75 degrees indoors! Theirs minimal roll-off in heat in the corners -2 degrees max! I am thoroughly impressed with the product and very thankful for you video.

Nice job Jake! I work in a truck shop that heats with propane and has 18ft ceilings. We installed 3 ceiling fans, 55” size I think, and they have helped immensely to push that heat from the ceiling down to the work area. Might be an addition to consider.

Hello I been looking at many youtube videos about this heaer and many people said their electricity went up quiet a bit:( If I buy this electric heater I will be only using it when I play pool in my garage which is once or 2x a month for about 6 or 7 hours. Since I have natural gas I wanted to install a natural gas heater but this sounds expensive to tap into the gas line or run a gas line to garage. However I think on the long run it will be cheaper that the electric heater??? Some people on you tube said it went up to $100 dollars a month others said about $30 or $40?? Anyways I will be installing a 240V outlet into my garage since I will also be getting a used electric car and need to charge it. So if I decide to get this electric heater I will already have an outlet for it. On the videos I see people installing the electric heater high in the ceiling usually on the corner. If i get electric heater can I just use an extension cord to plug it in or iwill it be better if I just install 240V outlet close to ceiling where heater will be?
@JakeThompson
@JakeThompson 2 жыл бұрын
Mine is hardwired in but I don’t see why you can’t make a heavy duty extension cord.. but of course I’m not going to give electrical advise.. if you just use it a couple times a month, the bill shouldn’t go up too much.. mine is expensive if I run it all the time. I just use it long enough to take the chill off so it doesn’t cost too much
@alexbowen2010
@alexbowen2010 2 жыл бұрын
Does the heater turn off after 12 hours or can you set it at say 60 degrees and leave it on for weeks and it maintain the temperature? The description online isn’t very clear if it automatically turns off every 12 hours or if you have the option to set it between 1-12 hours. I had planned to use it in a shop where I have to have consistent heat, can’t have it dropping down to winter temps and then only being warm when I’m there. Will be days where I’m not there.
