Muhammads cousin (The greatest explainer of quran) explains Quran 65:4 - Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs (And for such of your women as despair of menstruation) because of old age, (if ye doubt) about their waiting period, (their period (of waiting) shall be three months) upon which another man asked: “O Messenger of Allah! What about the waiting period of those who do not have menstruation because they are too young?” (along with those who have it not) because of their young age, their waiting period is three months. - If any doubts about Ibn Abbas reliability ----- Sunan Ibn Majah 166. Grade Sahih. It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: "The Messenger of Allah embraced me and said: 'O Allah, teach him wisdom and the (correct) interpretation of the Book.'"

If it were truly a major center, it would be prominently featured in their works. Its absence raises serious doubts about its early significance. 2. Geographically Impractical for Trade: Mecca’s supposed status as a major trade hub collapses under basic geographical analysis. Isolated from the main trade routes, lacking essential water resources, and surrounded by inhospitable desert terrain, Mecca is an unlikely candidate for a major trading city. Why would merchants bypass strategically positioned cities like Petra or Gaza in favor of this barren outpost? The notion defies economic logic. 3. Zero Archaeological Evidence: The absence of any archaeological evidence predating the 7th century is damning. For a city allegedly central to ancient trade and religion, we would expect ruins, inscriptions, or artifacts. Instead, there’s nothing-no trace of its supposed grandeur before the advent of Islam. This glaring void strongly suggests that Mecca’s historical significance was fabricated. 4. The Kaaba’s Dubious Origins: The claim that Abraham and Ishmael built the Kaaba seems more like a myth retroactively constructed to tie Islamic tradition to the Biblical narrative. Outside of Islamic sources, there is no historical or archaeological support for this claim. The connection between the Kaaba and Abraham appears to be a convenient story invented to legitimize Islam’s link to Judeo-Christian traditions. 5. Inconsistent Location of Early Mecca: Early Islamic sources struggle to agree on Mecca’s original location. Early mosque alignments point not toward modern Mecca, but toward Petra, suggesting that the original holy city might have been elsewhere. This indicates that Mecca’s significance was either invented or shifted later to fit evolving Islamic narratives. Conclusion: The evidence points to Mecca originally being an insignificant town whose importance was exaggerated over time to align with Islamic teachings. Rather than being a pre-Islamic powerhouse, Mecca appears to be a later invention, built up to serve religious and political objectives.
