Very cool machine, I agree - that demo part has a nice finish as you say. If you ever get shop stickers made up I want some for my collection board, I've always liked your channel!

The new machine looks to be working well . I like your manual machines though , i nearly bought a stanko lathe a while back but it did not have a threading dial , that was it's only downfall . Cheers .

I liked the reply to comments, I also have followed your progress and am amazed at the speed of growth. I would like to see the small lathe trick you mentioned. I have a small lathe and a 1942 vintage mill and find that parting off is the best way to break tooling. 👍 cheers.

I see the new shop is working out and been following you from your first part on the TOS keep moving forward

That global federate override knob is something I miss dearly when using Haas or fanuc controls. It was so nice controlling the speed of everything at once. So intuitive and simple. No need to remember the position of more than one dial lol

Glad your posting again! The shop looks amazing! Of course we want manual turning! I'm not a huge fan of the in video comments, but as long as it doesn't take the place of any regular content I'm totally cool with it. You've come so far since I first started watching, really cool.

Nice shop, they get more comfortable each time you move. Looking forward to the next one😉 Not a fan of the answering comments part, but manual machining: yes please.

Great idea reading the comments during the video. It,s a good way to say Thank You. To those of us who choose to be more involved with your channel. (Edit) The reading of the comments is great. But i think it should maybe only be an infrequent thing. The best approach to this idea . Might be pick out 1 Comment that adds something to what you are showing during your video,s. This would work a lot better. And it would also help to get people talking more in the comments section. On the Siemens Controller. When starting. The machine should start in reference mode. If so. You only need to press Cycle Start. All the Axis should reference themselves. NO need to reference each axis. Just a good habit to get into. This will stop the alarms for axis that have Not been referenced. Love the Doosan machines Mostly because of the Siemens Controller as an option. Thanks again for the video. Peter.

GREAT TO SEE AN UPDATE.. nice new shop you got going there. how do you like the doosan? a lathe like that is a dream i hope to get soon.. how many are you working in your shop now?

I always enjoy the content where you display the ability of the CNC machines to produce quality parts. That said, lately I have been wondering if you are getting enough time on the manual machines. Don't want to let your manual skills dull from non use. BTW, how many minions are doing you bidding these days. The Company looks like it is no longer a one man shop. Hope to see more videos soon!

It has to be hard on a PC based control to just do a hard shutdown...
@weldmachine5 жыл бұрын
It might seem to be a bad way to shut down the controller. But it is very normal to shut down a CNC machine this way.

Manual turning, or whatever you want to show, whenever you can show it is good to me. The comments thing was cool, but I can see it having the potential for getting out of hand (Becoming too many to read through) and causing you to dread spending the time to do it in every video even though you of course appreciate every comment. Might be worth considering a kind of "Comment of the week" approach where you can focus on a single comment that you feel warrants discussion, or that can precipitate showing us something, or lead to you trying something we can see in the next video.

Hey John. I was thinking the similar thoughts about the Comment reading during the video. It is Very much appreciated to be pickup during the video and have some notification for commenting. But at the same time it will get old quickly if it becomes a regular thing on each video. The idea of One Comment would work a lot better. Something that someone has brought up from a previous video that could add some value to the next video. All credit to him for trying something new. As it does become difficult to think of something that other people might enough watching. I am sure we will not see a repeat of the comment reading in following video,s.

@@weldmachine Agreed on credit for trying something new, and credit for all of it. It's a machining success story. :)

I told you about "woman's days" in Sinumerik 😂 Now you know. You hav to make video about tool library ..." U drill can be used as drill and inside turning tool" esimerkiksi.

I want to see manual turning, far more than CNC!
@weldmachine5 жыл бұрын
I understand your thinking. But the fact is CNC is to make Money. Manual is to make some parts. Luckily enough there are plenty of Manual machining channels to choose from on KZbin.

Funny how much worse the operator console layout is on that machine, compared to like your old BX45 lathe. Great electronics, but basic design goes downhill.

Ha ha... I do not come for the machines... I am a fan of the Finnish personality !!

You make a good ethnological observation about the long thinking Finns there.. I'd guess all the fast thinkers (YES, I WILL LEAVE FINLAND) are here in the USA !!
