4-Slot Primo Tenderizers are up there! Brooklyn Machine Works Shinburgers! EDIT: People installing Brakes! A little tip that made installing brakes so much easier. Wheel in, springs on, etc. Leave the Springs loose, pull the Cable through all the way until the brake pads are on the rim, tighten it up. THEN Tension the Springs to pull the Pads away from the Rim. It will almost certainly be too tight, pair of pliers, hold the cable a couple mm's away from the Cable Hanger & let off that couple mm & tighten up. Works great with set ups that don't have adjust on the Levers etc.

Chainstay brakes work “better” because they flex into the frame when stopping due to the direction the wheel is spinning, seat stay brakes flex away from the frame so they flex more, flex is lost braking power. Does it actually matter? No not really, but brake nerds (I’m one of you, not derogatory) will do everything they can to optimize them.

@@nitroguy30 The overbuilt mid schools cracked instead. Everyone thought "bad batch of frames" but it turned out to be the lack of flex from the frame and the burly parts of the day.

i wonder if it was as heavy as my mrria pro. with double wall big city rims with 14mm axles but i had the meganuke sprocket with that big motorcycle type chain. i forget the name of it. but it was the biggest chain in bmx. i had 4 pegs. 2 brakes. huge stem.the big mirra seat. it was a solid 40 pounds. i had the primo meat tenderizors pedals. they are huge like those dk iron cross pedals. my pegs were kink pegs that were so so heavy. i had them on one side and the dk pipe bombs on the other side. i still rock the dirty harry level. and i think they only had a rear version so i had one flipped upside down for my front brake. i did street. and flatland on the same tank lol it is not 40 pounds as my mirra pro frame was beefier. dropouts were bigger. my stem was bigger. his rims were heavier as they look like alex triple walls. but the meganuke sprocket was heavier. my chain was the biggest ever made. i had 2 sets of heavy pegs.kink and dk pipe bomb and i had 2 brakes. my mirra seat was bigger and my bike was 40 pounds.

33lbs is a good bit actually. Most new bikes are like 23ish lbs these days. That means that old school bike weighs 10lbs more than a new school bike. That's a lot when talking about bikes. A whole lot. I could see it only being 33 lbs but feeling like more. The young guy was on the money.
