The Salvation Army store here is reprehensible to say the “least”…. Goodwills most are, from prices to management,👎🏻👎🏻🤦🏼‍♀️you are blessed to have such great pickings… I hope we have some great yardsales in my area… KEEP ON RESCUING🤣👍🏻

I can’t compare to your mom, but I have suffered from double sciatica for two months. My friend is liquidating everything in her humongous thrift store. I went a week ago with a cane and I was in so much pain I could not even think. I got a few things and left. I’ve been back twice since and scored some great items. They sold the property that her husband’s transmission shop is on in the back is a humongous building full of stuff everything from measuring spoons, two jackets, beautiful furniture, beautiful glassware, antiques, vintage, scrapbooking, sewing, you name it it’s there. She even has a vintage singer sewing machine. CDs DVDs, VCR tapes. It just goes on and on. But that day I was not into it.

OMG! Went to my Goodwill and found outrageous prices. Fenton for $60, a broken Lladro for $65 , milk glass for $60 and carnival glass for $40. Now, all were very nice pieces, but the pricing was ridiculous.

Thr blue transferware set is Currier and Ives. My grandmother left me her entire set of 20 plus all the additional serving pieces. One dinner plate is 15.00 on Replacements and the casserole dish goes for 89.99 and the sugar and creamer are 40 each so 84.00 for the set is a steal.

It's an " E" for effort Carmen...lol...and I was thinking that most thrift stores have a wheel chair in the front of the store...too bad your mom couldn't use one instead of sitting in the car..then she could still be in the store maybe? I've had to use a motorized cart to get around a store on occasion when I wasn't feeling well... sometimes you can still shop and feel better if you can just get off of your feet...hope that she feels better soon 💝💝💝🙏🙏🙏

I think these stores should have a shelf for things half off that has chips, cracks and anything else wrong with them because people will not buy them unless they are a low price. I used to own that exact rooster chalkboard ( it broke) and I thrifted that same $22.00 years ago, I also own the galvanized cake plate from HL. Oh my stars the animal heads are wonderful! I’ve just found y’all and love watching all the things you find. Years ago Me and two of my sisters had a refurbished shop and loved going around finding neat stuff to redo also finding all kind of stuff to decorate with. We had a blast and to this day we still shop goodwill, Salvation Army and any others we can find. I hate that your Mom was having problem during some of y’all trips. I have legs issues too so I completely understand. I was watching this and I know I’m behind but that wire photo stand, also would be great to use as a recipe card holder too, also those Chunky white candle holders could be used for a plate stand for showers or get togethers, or a small plant holder ….Just a thought . Thanks for letting us been part of your great finds. Wish I was closer so I could meet y’all & come see your shoppe . I’m live in Ga so no plane ride for me. (Lol)

Way to go mom! Love that you pushed through the pain to thrift!! I also have Lupus and 2 other autoimmune related diseases. You are truly an inspiration. I think I mentioned this before but just in case I haven’t, A mobility scooter makes all the difference when you’re having a tougher day but still want to get out and about. I love mine and I have painted and added transfers to make it fun. The only thing that I regret about it is that I did not get it sooner. I have been able to do so much more and participate in so many more outings. I thought I would feel self-conscious about using it but it has been just the opposite. I love it I get to go out and about even on my not so good days and I get nothing but compliments and smiles when I use it. 😁Missed and praying for you Debbi🙏🏼Kelly you have the best friends and family. Always love shopping with you guys😄
