My wife and I were on one of the first shows aired on Lifetime during its first week. I forget what day it was, but it was a total surprise because we were told that our show would broadcast on a date, and only found out when my brother-in-law, who was out-of-state, called us to let us know that our show was broadcasted.

That is awesome. Do you remember what stores were there when you appeared?

It was so long ago that I cannot remember the specifics as to the names of the stores. They were rather generic though. I do remember that the grand prize was a trip to Hong Kong, but we did not get enough (that was back in the show's days when they had really cheap prizes). Another thing I remember was how we had the biggest point spread between the winning (us) and losing team. I think we answered virtually every question in the round before the finals.

Did you or any contestants get to keep any of the "mall's" items that were pick up throughout the course of the game too?

@megamanj2004X Right now, this is the earliest one circulating in the trading circuit. I don't know if I'll find any earlier ones anytime soon.

This must be one of the very few eps. of the Lifetime-era StYD to have shots of the studio audience seen on camera, outside the final Lifetime-era season that taped at Universal Studios (which almost always showed a shot of the studio audience when they asked "To Where, Mark?" when describing the vacation before the start of the bonus round)

Wow! You actually see the audience.

@gameshowguy2000 Actually, Pat mentioned in this episode at the start of the Shop 'Til You Drop Round that the items on the table at the start range from 49 cents to $250. This proves that gag gifts in the first season could be worth less than a dollar.

I love how these early episodes, from the first season or so, are resurfacing little by little. I thought they never would. Thanks, Nick. Keep it up.

So, the luggage was just gravy, but they'd be needing it on the trip. Add the extra $515 to the total, and it comes out to $1,540.

I know this video is old, but if there's any chance you can help me find the Shop Til You Drop episode with my brother-in-law and his wife, I would greatly appreciate it? It was around 1992. Their names are Mark and Linda. If there's any way you have it and can upload it to KZbin, I'll give you $50. Seriously. It would mean a lot. Thanks.

I don't accept bribes, and I don't take requests.

@@NickCMedia OK. I'm just trying to do something nice for my niece and nephew, since both of their parents (Mark and Linda) have since passed. Not really a bribe. But thanks anyway.
