Hey Kev, put those sawblades on the xmaxx and cut a lipo. But put lock washers on the hex so the blade will not fly off and dont use regular blades use High speed ones they are rated at 20,000 rpm

I love it! Very simple to fix. I had strongly debated both this and the DHK Zombie. I ended up getting the Traxxas Rustler 4x4 VXL and the Traxxas Summit since the local hobbit shop told me it’s easier to get parts.

Hi Kev, I have a DHK Maximus too, and I replaced most of the round head screws! they are just cheap one's! And I put a gyro on my truck and a wheelie bar for high speed runs! cheers mate

How is it going so far ? I really want to buy the maximus but the top speed is not really 85km/h as they advert ... Would you recommend it for durability ? Compared to JLB Cheetah/J3 Speed or BISON V3 or Pirate 3 ZD Racing

hey kev nice video! just a pro tip from me: with cheaper rigs like fh4 the screws are also lower quality so be careful with them as they strip easy and the heads snap off.

I blew my rear diff on my Maximus on the 4th trip out (only because a screw come loose in the diff) hopefully my parts come today so I can fix mine and your right about the top deck screws they do seem really cheap so I’m going to replace all mine with decent screws I’ve got but other than that I can’t fault the truck for the money

Hi Kev. Think you need to buy a Primal Rc Raminator. Biggest petrol RC you can buy. 80lbs in weight, 30+ mph. Looks a beast

What hex do you use for your power drill? Also a cheap upgrade for the shock tower is to add the dhk zombie wing assembly and it acts as a brake for the shock tower. I believe the zombie wing set is $8.

Yes but the X-Maxx is a Monster truck as is the Raminator but a true monster truck with rigid axels, I prefer gas I have eight so would go for this over the X-Maxx any day, and in the scheme of things it is not that much more than the X-Maxx, I have the TRAXXAS UDR my first electric since the first E-Maxx I had one it would eat the transmission on a regular basis also at the time I had the FG Gas Monster truck not a true monster truck it had independent suspension and two wheel drive I then got the MCD Monster truck more fun but again not a true monster truck no rigid axles but was 4x4x4 but no I went onto the MCD Chevy Baja 1000 Trophy Truck far more fun no falling over. so I stuck with 5th scale Gas trucks and buggies and now we get true to scale ones. But Traxxas sell the genuine Big Foot which is two wheel drive and the Mustang is 4wd go figure, this is one reason that Traxxas will not get my hard earned cash@@pommylife1040

I enjoy watching you wrenching mate. I find it interesting! I love fixing my own and I enjoy seeing other models and how they are put together. I’ve worked on cars for a living all my working life and nearly every day i learn something new! And it’s the same with me on my RC cars! We all do things upside down inside out at times! Pats video of your gearbox rebuild once or twice he made a tiny mistake and it made me laugh as I’d do the same, We all do! If it was edited to perfection it would be Boring! Just my opinions for feedback. Great job 👍
