My limited edition Lady Dior is 11 years old (it’s still in almost perfect condition), I think my mother paid around $2,500-ish AUD, could have been even less. It was a spontaneous gift from my mother, she knew I wanted a Lady, & she decided that was the one as soon as she saw it in the boutique. I think you now pay around $7,000 - $8,000 AUD for them (I haven’t priced one in a while), crazy how much they’ve gone up in value.

That’s what I’m saying! A couple years back, Dior bags in general were just a few hundreds dollars higher than LV, but after the saddle bag got brought back Dior’s price sky rocketed! But that’s INSANE, in Australia the prices of Dior and chanel hurt my soul 🥲🥲🥲

Thank you!! And I haven’t thought of exactly how to style it considering we’re still in a pandemic so no where to really take the bag out properly. In terms of a collectors standpoint I definitely recommend it. For practicality/everyday not so much. But omg yes the BV mini pouch is sooo cute. Next time I stop by I want to try it on to see the weight and look of it on me! But I actually LOVE it. I love that the pouch has the signature weaving pattern! If you were to get one what color are you leaning towards??

Wow your SA is so nice, when showing you how to tie the twilly. or is that how all SA's are normally? LOL. When I felt the Celine Belt Bag it was softer than expected and I liked it, but haven't purchased it. Also, I follow the same rule of thumb, how interesting. Then I try to make sure my emergency fund continues to grow too.

Yes!! Always have an emergency fund and constantly adding to your savings account as well! I would never ever go into debt for luxury goods. And I genuinely feel like it’s just Dior SAs are all that nice. By far the best customer service I’ve ever experienced always from Dior! 🙌🏼

Yes, YSL only has the color called blanc vintage, which is a kinda ivory/cream white, not the true white. Idk why they do that because I'm a fan of white too, and their "white" just gives the bags the old/dirty look. Like a used white bag, you know what I mean. Also, maybe it's because of the light they use, the products didn't look really good when I visited the boutique in Chicago. All the bags did look good on display, with the lights directly shined on them, but when the SA handed it to me, the colors looked dull, the blanc vintage white looked like light grey 🤦‍♀️ you know when you go to the store, try it on, and at the moment, you have that special feeling (idk how to explain it) then you decide to buy it. YSL didn't give me that feeling, which is quite disappointed because I really really like the brand 😥

I actually really like that bag! When I saw Rosie’s (from Blackpink) campaign for it initially I wasn’t a huge fan but the more videos I watched about it the more I actually really like it. It’s so bold yet understated bc of the YSL logo. And it seems like it would match soo many outfits. I personally would rather get a Celine triomphe bag or their box bag (Bc I love Celine now haha) but in terms of style these two are super similar!

Dior is better than Chanel in quality and design, their bags look more expensive than Chanel with the hardware, strap, detail quilting and stitching, whereas Chanel bags look basic and overpriced with the simple quilted design, the best bags Chanel did was the pink metallic bags of 2019 that’s the only thing that impressed me otherwise Chanel bags are simply not worth the price so I don’t know why they get more resale value than Dior I guess the name of history with Chanel idk but my dream luxury bag is a my lady Dior medium

I also feel like practicality plays a partial role in resale value as well. Because a lot of people (myself included) see the lady dior styles no matter how exquisite the craftsmanship, the bag itself is quite dressy and not as user friendly. As compared to the classic flap which can be dressed up or down easier. But that’s just my opinion! I love both designs equally but totally agree Chanel needs to amp up their quality control and needs to get more creative with their color palettes.
