Sadly, we recently had several buildings of an apartment complex burn & when I drove by to take my son to donate plasma I saw several "like new" sections of fencing with the sorta French Gothic style cut at the tops & my first thought was "are they going to throw those away??" They still had it roped off so people couldn't get to the debris. (and I had to look up the fencing style-I didn't already know that :) haha

I had a number 20 crock that I found on the side of the road in absolutely perfect shape, I had an oak barrel top that fit perfectly on the top. I used it for an end table. I decided to sell it and put it on marketplace. two minutes later I got a message saying MOM, you can't sell that, I want it. My 44 year old daughter now has it as an end table in her LR. LOL

Wow the same thing just happened between my mother and myself. I happened to call her as she was getting ready to haul off my grandmother's "useless old junk". It was 2 boxes of antique blue jars with original lids. She had jars with the metal flip things. There was all kinds of stuff that i would've paid a premium for at any shop. I had no idea that she had anything left that had belonged to her mother. 😳 what a save! I'm sure that you're daughter feels the same way.

Too funny about your daughter! Our youngest daughter lives 2 hours away and when she comes...SHE SHOPS AT MOMS ! But it is nice to have your daughters ( or sons..don’t have any. ...son-in-laws...) LOVE your stuff and want to use it when we are done with it ! LOL!!!

I loved everything. You could walk around thrift stores all day and I would watch. I love the vintage kitchen stuff. My 96 year old Nana still uses many of the things. I have been in antique shops and seen her entire kitchen. She never wanted new things. Thanks for taking us along with you.

Wow, what a great deal on all those spindles!!! Yes, the #6 crock would be smaller than your #10 since the #6 is 6 gallons and the #10 is 10 gallons. I would definitely keep both of them if it was me!

That sun bonnet quilt is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen! And the PRICE! I loved going with you to look for treasures. I used to go with my mom to country auctions and estate sales when I was in college 45 years ago. One time I found two chaise-a-bras for $3 and $1.50 And took them home. I refinished the wood and reupholstered them (3 times so far!) and I’ve still got them and use them in my living room. I love antique and second hand stores, garage and back yard sales. You can get wonderful things.

Yay. I love shopping with you too!!!!! Also. Just a note. The numbers on a crock represent the size. So a 10 = 10 quarts. 6 = 6 quarts. So you’ll be able to judge size by that.

I always get so amazed at what your shops have for so cheap. I went to my Goodwill and they wanted $6 for a small broken basket and $15 for a wooden candle stand. For a place that gets everything for free mine sure is pricey. You found some amazing deals!

Good lord girl!That was an epic haul!---I'm pretty sure the number on the crock is the number of gallons it will hold--which makes sense being that it is smaller than your number 10. Loved all your finds!!

Love the quilt! My maternal grandfather's family settled in New Iberia from Sicily. They owned a sugar cane plantation. My great grandmother cooked authentic Italian meals for the men who worked the fields. ❤

I can't believe you got all those curtains so dirt cheap!!! You're so lucky. You know the long metal drawers that you were talking about just clear coating with Rustoleum? There was a house in Charleston that had one sitting on the counter in the kitchen with old recipe cards in it. I thought that was such a great idea. You make my day!!!
