I thought I was the only nut on the planet that would proudly proclaim the Container Store as their FAVORITE store...*giggle* 🤭. Though I could never afford all the pretty things I covet in there, I could peruse the aisles for literally hours. There's a tin of inspiration in there, especially for a DIYer! Thanks for the video, I haven't been there for a while so it was fun to watch! And that basket is...Everything!!

My closest TCS is an hour away-thank goodness! It's overwhelming, but what helps is going through your craft room and taking measurements-have a focus. Then bring your tape measure with you. So many times I "think" something is perfect and it's not. GREAT tour, thank you! I'm anxious to check out those containers with the rollers!

Yes, totally agree! Measurements in advance, especially if you are looking for a specific solution is an important thing to have prepared.

I love the under shelf baskets, but I get them at TJMaxx for $4-$5 a piece! Sometimes they come in fun colors too. Such a fun video, thanks and hugs 💗

The first time I ever went to TCS I probably spent three hours in there! I like using the clear storage in my craft room, but I too am in trouble if I ever see rainbow anything, especially craft and office supplies! 🌈😍

The Slim Project cases hold letter sized paper. They also are PERFECT for holding about 60+ of the small square Distress TH inks. I put a thick piece of foam on the bottom and they all fit nice and tight. The CS is my happy place.

Thank you for another field trip video, Elisa! I don't know if all Container Stores have this, but I have seen platforms in the one we've been to that have measuring markings on them. I forget if it was a grid or just like a printed-on ruler. Anyway, I assume the idea is that you can get a notion of how things will fit for you, especially if you are putting multiple containers in a drawer or something. Also, they have measuring tapes available - you just have to ask an associate. At least the store I've been to in Dallas has those options. Like I said, I won't swear they all do, but I would kind of think so. Two things I would recommend before buying storage pieces from anywhere, though - especially if you live a long way from the store. 1. Measure the space where you need items first. For instance, if you need trays or boxes to subdivide storage in a drawer, measure the inside of the drawer before going to the store. That way, you have an idea before purchasing if specific pieces will fit the space. 2. If you are subdividing something like a drawer or bin or whatever, take it in to the store with you if you can. Mama has a drawer unit we got at Michael's, for which we needed boxes to subdivide & corral smaller things. We took one of the drawers with us to The Container Store & just placed boxes in it to "audition" them. Especially helpful for us, as we don't live all that close to that store. In fact, one of their sales associates saw us doing that, & said she wished everyone in that sort of situation would do that! I love those small shoe boxes you showed. I keep loose baggies that I get things packaged in or whatever, just to have on hand. I currently store them in one of my Alex drawers, but it has gotten unruly. There are lots of different sizes, & they're just in that drawer - not bagged or boxed or anything. I have been thinking I should get a lidded box to corral them better, but want one that still fits in that drawer height-wise. Those shoe boxes look like they may be perfect! I loved the field trip to the Container store but the nearest one is not on public transportation and besides that I have stores that are closer to me and I agree that it's more expensive than the one's that are closer to me. I'm going to be doing my own craft room tour and I'm asking all my crafty friend to watch and give me some tips on how to make my room better for me.

Thank u Elisa. I love storage containers/items. Unfortunately I can't afford most of them. My problem is that I c storage containers I like or love, but I don't have a particular place/spot in mind 2 use them. My family asks me where or what would I use the containers 4. I always tell them in my craft room. What would I use them 4. My reply is most or the time "I don't know, I just like them". I hope I'm not the only 1 who has this problem or issue. Right now my craft room sorting & organizing is on hold. My husband had a heart attack on 1/18/2023 & a stroke on 1/20/2023. He is getting stronger every day. Practically every waking minute during the day is spent with my husband at rehab. When u think about it please pray 4 our family during this time. Have a great, blessed, victorious day.
