Just some advice, I'm 18 and have been driving for just over a year now, i would HIGHLY recommend getting a small car, they're easier to park, and for a new driver a big car will be very daunting. Get a cheap car that it wont matter so much if it gets bumped or scraped! Because chances are as a new driver, you might scratch it or bump it a couple of times! And it wont be such a disaster compared to getting one of these new expensive cars!!

I have a fiat 500 in the colour you looked at (glam coral) but my interior is cream, my seats are still checked but they are lighter and have a coral pipe trim and also my steering wheel and other stuff is cream. It's my second 500 my first was white and personally I love it. Once you start driving you might realise a small car is better, because trust me driving is hard. If you have a big car for your first I think you will struggle. I think it's best to start small and gradually get bigger. Also do you really need a big car, if it's just for you? Just a bit of advice😊

Totally agree, I love my fiat 500 ! perfect for what i need at 20 , i will probs get a bigger car next but I'm glad I've got a small car for the first few years of driving

Have you looked at Volvo? I have a Volvo and they are one of the safest cars. Have things like city safe which automatically brakes if you are going to hit something. (So if someone seems like they pull off a roundabout in front of you and then they brake, the car automatically breaks) also have pedestrians airbags. So if you hit someone (hopefully you don’t) an air bag deploys over the windscreen to prefect their head on the glass. I also have found insurance is cheaper because of the safety features

try a vauxhall adam? similar size to a fiat 500 but feels a lot bigger on the inside , i love my fiat 500 and have it on finance but drive my boyfriends vauxhall adam now and again and love it, seriously no point in getting a bigger car to start with unless you need it , get a smaller city car that doesnt drink petrol but still very safe, new cars are expensive but look at a PCP plan! so much better plus you could get insurance included as a new driver x happy car hunting

I'm pretty sure every single car no matter what the make is has air bags? Would be illegal to sell a car without air bags...

ZAWENA EFIA Older cars which you can still buy second hand don’t always have air bags for the passenger seat!

please don't buy a hybrid, it's just a cynical marketing exercise for the unknowledgeable :/ buy yourself something that isn't likely to depreciate too much or at all for that matter for instance, you can get a half decent range rover for little money and since you're a woman it would be cheap as chips to insure in comparison to a guy. just giving advice, not criticising :)

I've been driving for a while now and I would recommend with starting with a car that's small so you get used to driving it then moving on to something bigger, I had a Toyota aygo which was a lovely car. I've now got a Vauxhall adam s which is sporty looking and has leather seats. It's lovely! In a few years or so I would like a chr because they are lovely looking. Hope you get what you want ☺️

I turned 17 on the 28th September. My first lesson is tomorrow and I just got my first car today! It's only a Ford KA but it doesn't matter to me as its only my first car and I just need something to get me around for the next few years. I love it already. If you're unsure on what car to get, just get a second hand KA or something. Cheap and then leaves you time to learn, and save for a dream car

I have a Fiat 500 in blue and I’m 5”10 and I don’t feel so big in it they are so much bigger than I thought. All the interiors on each fiat are different so you can get one with out the checked seats

I have a ford fiesta and its so so good. Its not too small and not too big and perfect for someone who isn't an experienced driver also the insurance isn't too expensive 😘❤️

I'm 19 and have been driving for a few months so literally just got a car really I would really recommend getting a smaller/cheaper car for your first car. Look on auto trader there's loads of options and make sure you do your research on cars! By getting a smaller/cheaper one it doesn't matter as much if you bump or scrape it which, not saying you won't be a great driver, but most young drivers including myself do have trouble when starting driving on their own. Also don't forget that insurance for young/newly qualified drivers is EXPENSIVE! The cheapest I could find was just over £1000 and my car isn't that new either! Ask around, do your research and deffo go look at as many different cars as possible! Plus fiat 500's are CUTTTTE and so you;)xx

Everyone commenting about getting a small car first... There is no need. If you learn how to drive properly, you'll be fine driving a larger car from the ofset, you just adapt. If it's what you want and like, go for it, it's your money and choice :)
