I believe the scarf is for a bag. You can wrap and tie it around the top handle of a purse or simply tie a bow.

If the ring is too small, you can buy ring adjusters for a size 7. They look like little loops on a ring. Also, the scarf you bought looks like a scarf u can wrap around ur purse handle.
