Listen Buddy: it's all been staged. They wouldn't show you a "normal" 5000-baht room, now would they? I've been renting rooms in Pattaya for ages. That kind of room, with flatscreen telly, kitchen and fancy toilet doesn't cost less than 10-12 grand, believe me. "If it sounds too cheap, it probably is..."😜

The price differential between Thailand and some part of the US is crazy! Here in SF,CA the price for the last one ($1300/month) would possibly rent you a room in a 3 or 4 bedroom older flat with one bathroom that you would share with 2 or 3 other adults.

That first one was perfect for a single person. The second one was perfect for a couple. The third one was terrible. I would probably choose the 2nd one just for the amenities alone. Nice gym, awesome pool, and great views for an affordable price.

The first one is the best. If you save for 1 year. You can decorate the first one. Interior design goes a long way. Upgraded sheets and a few more painting. A few beautiful dishes etc etc. window curtains

Option #1 is what I would expect to live in on the low end retirement budget or Just to have a Base place to travel out of to explore the country before I decided where I wanted to live & have a more nicer expensive, place.

Thanks for this video! I've lived abroad previously (in china) but moved back to the US a few years ago. Now I'm helping out my newly widowed grandmother & she's been crazy stressed worrying about me going back to Asia. Good tip about checking the water pressure and temperature. We've been living in Nicaragua for the last year and if someone was watering the garden there wasn't enough water pressure to flush the toilet. We've just got a new pump to fix that issue, but it was very frustrating for a while there 😅

My friend lived in the first one! I lived in Nimman and I stayed with her before I left Thailand. Back then, it was way cheaper. I actually shared a 3 bedroom house with one roommate for 4,000 baht each.

Hey Paddy! For the longest pool you'll find in a condo in Thailand, try the condo known as "Boat House" in Hua Hin. I heard it's a km long, winding round all the blocks in the condo.

For $160 USD the first place is a nice no frills efficiency. I'm not going to pretend that it's a great place but it looks clean and well kept. I can't think of a single place in the US where you would get that type of clean, maintained, unit for $160.

Prices are around 10-20% cheaper at the moment. Who knows if it goes back up. It's a renters / buyers market for sure

I live in Texas so if I am ever a naughty man, there are great looking mangoes in Colombia, just a quick flight away. The money that I spent with my ex compared to what I " got in return" over the years, I could have sample different varieties of mangoes and peaches every night until the day I die.

I'd definitely go for the first one. No need to spend an extra 240$/month for the other one which is a lot nicer. But the 240$ can go a very long way in Thailand.

The only people really that would choose 1 not 2 or 3 are those that can't afford it..gym area way nicer pool more Stores is no brainer. U need to feel comfortable and stress free when living some where and the views. 400 and extra is nothing compared to living in the states...

Is the electric included in the rent? Does it haveAC? It would be nice to have contact info …. And I’ve heard that the Thai Government has become very strict about how long foreigners can stay in the country, requiring non-citizens to leave the country every 90 days, max.

First apartment. $160 per month. $1920 per year. If really price as she says 650.000 THB ($19000), it is incredible rental income! But i think this apartment should be more expensive?

on the first condo, The rent might be around 8000baht , If you add bills on top, Either way that's still a great price !!
