Listen Buddy: it's all been staged. They wouldn't show you a "normal" 5000-baht room, now would they? I've been renting rooms in Pattaya for ages. That kind of room, with flatscreen telly, kitchen and fancy toilet doesn't cost less than 10-12 grand, believe me. "If it sounds too cheap, it probably is..."😜

The price differential between Thailand and some part of the US is crazy! Here in SF,CA the price for the last one ($1300/month) would possibly rent you a room in a 3 or 4 bedroom older flat with one bathroom that you would share with 2 or 3 other adults.

That first one was perfect for a single person. The second one was perfect for a couple. The third one was terrible. I would probably choose the 2nd one just for the amenities alone. Nice gym, awesome pool, and great views for an affordable price.

The first one is the best. If you save for 1 year. You can decorate the first one. Interior design goes a long way. Upgraded sheets and a few more painting. A few beautiful dishes etc etc. window curtains

Option #1 is what I would expect to live in on the low end retirement budget or Just to have a Base place to travel out of to explore the country before I decided where I wanted to live & have a more nicer expensive, place.

My friend lived in the first one! I lived in Nimman and I stayed with her before I left Thailand. Back then, it was way cheaper. I actually shared a 3 bedroom house with one roommate for 4,000 baht each.

We lived in Dcondo Nim for a year but after they built Dcondo Ping and we saw that pool 🤩 we moved there in a heartbeat! Thanks for taking us back! Love seeing our friend Ice, she was on a TV show with us 😂 still as charming as always

Now I'm helping out my newly widowed grandmother & she's been crazy stressed worrying about me going back to Asia. For some reason watching your video helped her feel much more comfortable about my plans, since she knows I wont be living in a hellish place even if I'm only paying $300 for rent hahaha.

I love the pool at the 2nd place but to me the 3rd place was the best. It was so beautiful and charming. The other 2 were condos you could find in any city in the world, they were nice but generic. The 3rd was beautiful and the building itself was very thai

Good tip about checking the water pressure and temperature. We've been living in Nicaragua for the last year and if someone was watering the garden there wasn't enough water pressure to flush the toilet. We've just got a new pump to fix that issue, but it was very frustrating for a while there 😅

Hey Paddy! For the longest pool you'll find in a condo in Thailand, try the condo known as "Boat House" in Hua Hin. I heard it's a km long, winding round all the blocks in the condo.

I live in Texas so if I am ever a naughty man, there are great looking mangoes in Colombia, just a quick flight away. I'd definitely go for the first one. No need to spend an extra 240$/month for the other one which is a lot nicer. But the 240$ can go a very long way in Thailand.

Prices are around 10-20% cheaper at the moment. Who knows if it goes back up. It's a renters / buyers market for sure

For $160 USD the first place is a nice no frills efficiency. I'm not going to pretend that it's a great place but it looks clean and well kept. I can't think of a single place in the US where you would get that type of clean, maintained, unit for $160.

Enjoyed your video, I've used Perfect Homes before, they are very good. I stayed in Doi Ping Mansion back in 2016 for 12 months. I'm returning next year after a 4 year absence and looking at D Condo by Central Festival which is so handy to everywhere.

Great idea for videos, can’t wait for the other parts! I love the tip about checking the shower pressure! It looked like the kitchens didn’t have an oven... or was the microwave looking appliance under the stove top a convection/toaster oven?

Glad it was helpful! Thai ovens are just not a thing...you can buy an electric oven but almost every house regardless of price, don't have ovens....baking is just not a thing here!

1-2 or to for me, i think most likely nr 2 because of that amazing pool and i like to swim everyday. But nr 3 has a breathtaking view and that bathtube on the balcony, wow.
