That pet store is awful. The cages for the dogs aren't any bigger then a chicken cage. That kind of thing should be illegal, the poor puppies all by themselves! Glad you included it in the vlog, awareness needs to be raised for this kind of hell dogs are put in.

Wow It's wierd to see dogs and cats in pet stores and I didn't think Canada had such. Here in Norway they have baned selling dogs and cats in pet store by law. I think it's for the best. If we want to buy a dog or a cat we go to a shelter or a breeder. Btw I love to watch your daily vlog.

+Lis I'm a strong believer in going straight to the breeder. I had a lovely collie growing up that we got from a breeder near where I lived. Still. I'm really happy there is a pet store that has dogs near where I live because I currently live where I can't have animals and I can go to the store and play with the puppies in a play pin with a few toys and they love it.

+Rhiannon Rose most (responsible) breeders dont breed dogs that come from a line that had multiple generations of genetic health defects, so they're trying to breed out the illnesses and diseases that they can. Irresponsible breeders and puppy farmers though, theyre only in it for the money and often dogs from puppy farms are severely ill both due to genetic issues and issues prompted by the conditions they're kept in.

+Helvetica09 it sucks. one thing people can do is to promote adopting shelter pets. If there are less people buying from pet stores then they will hopefully stop sell animals.

+Feliza Estrada Yes this does help however at the same time you want the dogs and cats out of those horrid conditions and one way to do that is by taking them home with you.. So it's almost a double edged sword.. However the solution you mentioned is more long term and helps a greater amount of animals..

Aww the poor puppies D: I didn't think you were allowed to have such tiny spaces in a pet store? You can only hope they get adopted quickly. Our nearby pet stores sell cats and dogs, but they have large kennels (enough space they can run around and play) for them and only keep 3-4 dogs at a time. Hopefully the pups aren't from puppy mills, otherwise they've had a bit of a rough start in life.

I know it sounds terrible, but it's for the best if they don't get adopted...like Baylee said, they are probably from puppy mills and you don't want to give them any support.

I think you're right. Every dog deserves a good home, but supporting puppy mills is very bad.

It's not just sad because they're alone. They are (usually) bred in puppy mills, where they are mass bred like products, and kept in really bad conditions. I'm not even that passionate about animal rights, but those puppy mills make me so sad. :(

I started bawling when you showed the pet store. I had to put my pug to sleep yesterday morning. He was only 4 years old and became violently ill unexpectedly. It makes me so sad to see how that store doesn’t appreciate the animals that they have, especially when I would give anything to have my sweet little one back 😭

At my local pet store there are just cats, fish, birds,etc. The cages where the cats are kept are small, but there are holds in between each cage so the cats can go some to other cages.

I know that comments are ment to be related to the video and to talk about what we think and what we want to know but I´d really like to use this change to tell you why all the puppies in the Pet Shop looked sad. It´s because they are drugged all day long so they don´t cause troubles in those small and horrible cages where they keep them. If someone is interested really don´t conitnue promoting this type of activities. We want a better world we have to start by ourselfs. God bless you.

It was just one of those generic Japanese kawaii stores. There are at least 3 of them in that mall (Metrotown). I only know the name of one, but it wasn't that one.

All of those poor puppies were probably born in a puppy mill... The cutest puppies get sent to pet stores. I won't go into detail about what some mills do to the others. I hate pet stores like this one. Adopt don't shop!

jesus fucking christ. do people in canada (or in the states or that part of the world in general idk ? ???) keep pets in the STORE BEHIND GLASS WITH BARELY ANY SPACE ????? like thats fucking horrible, i live in germany and here in the petstores there are only mice or hamsters or birds, or like tiny animals in general that are used to living in such a place. but DOGS need to move they need other dogs or people around them they cant be stared at and pointed at by kids all day be super sad and scared to death. dogs here have their animal shelters where there are other dogs and people who care for homeless dogs. which is in my opionion a better option than... THAT.
