When I met my to-be husband I took him to Los Angeles, etc, and on the tour bus they pointed to the opera house (?) and said the metal of the building was reflecting so much heat onto nearby buildings, they had to score/roughen the surface to save air conditioning costs in those other buildings. You probably know more about it than I do. But we did see Venice Beach! Last year we went to California in July to escape the heat wave in Seattle. And people were so nice to us, we got the same reception you seem to get everywhere you go. Instead of Little Shared Libraries on the street, there were Little Shared Food Banks on the street. That would not fly in Germany: a place where citizens can leave extra food for people who need help getting by? I'm so glad I found your channel. I miss my home (Seattle) so much, but now you're telling me to go to Duesseldorf, which is a Katzensprunge. And it's working, I want to go back.

Hugo Boss and Michael Kors have outlets in the US and online and at reasonable prices when on sale. These stores are actually more expensive in Europe. Stores such as, TJMaxx, Marshall's etc carry these brands. I am sure your beautiful mom would like to go on a shopping spree. Maybe, when she comes to visit, you can take her shopping! She dresses very nice and i love her red nails. Classy, beautiful and sweet mom! She deserves the world!

Loved Dusseldorf, was there in 2013 for Kraftwerk at the K20 Kunstsammlung at the Alt Stadt. With snow on the ground. Very beautiful I love the Alt Bier as well. The architect of the building near the tower is Frank Gehry I believe, I know the shiny metal building is called Gehrys House. Was my first german city (from Ireland) I really like Berlin as well especially the East Side.

I adored Düsseldorf in the 70’s and 80’s…..I lived on the Düsseldorfer Allee. Koenigs Strasse, just the best shopping. The Altstadt was fabulous for night life…..Mitzis and the Cream Cheese…..and then onto Vulcan Strasse ….😋…🇬🇧

@@davey2363 Well. ...lol indeed . I was a student at the Kunstakademie. I so miss that time 70s/80s Düsseldorf. Very relaxed and interesting ,lots of communication in the Kneipen. , was invited to many spontaneous parties .I felt much more free there than here in Amsterdam. Exciting ..Altstadt. 'Wire' played in Ratinger Hof. Also the chic bars around Kö , where everybody paid your drinks 🤣
