I’m 18, I went through a similar thing in my early years of high school. I was bullied relentlessly throughout elementary and middle school- so upon entering high school I had no self confidence. I became an even easier target, and started to engage in risky behaviors because I felt so alone. I’m off to college in fall, but for the last year I’ve had a good look at myself. I started to realize I don’t want to let others like that hold power over me. In my dark days I didn’t enjoy living, but I learned slowly that there’s so much to do and explore. Sometimes I cry when I can have the strength to smile in the mirror. But you should know you’re not alone. For me, makeup helped a lot. I started to view my face as a canvas rather than something to pick apart. The road ahead is difficult but I hope everyone can live in a world where they aren’t their own worst enemy ♡

I had a very similar experience in grade school and even some of high school, and I agree that using makeup when insecure makes things worse. It can get to the point where you feel as though you must put makeup on every time you are going to step out of the house. I wish I had waited until I was secure in myself like you. i did lasik for my eyes and it was the best decision in my life! i had -3 smth on both eyes. you can do one eye to see how it'll go and then other, if you're scared. it didn't hurt at all and on the next day i had 100% sight

I used to wear glasses but I did the laser eye corrective surgery and now my vision is perfect. I’ve gotten it done almost 5 years ago. I recommend it to anyone I know, my sister and a few friends have done it after my suggestion. Easy and short recovery with instantaneous improvement in eyesight.

I really like hello kitty and especially my melody goodies for one specific reason and not only because she is cute. For years I hated being a being a too much feminine girl. I rejected wearing pink and I also wearing dress and skirts. I did that to protect myself, to show I’m not weak and I can be strong if I want. But years of maintaining this phase was just tiring, I couldn’t cry in front of people without feeling weak and then reacting like if they found a diamond in a river. Or I couldn’t wear a pink shirt without feeling insecure. After my mother just decided to ignore me after I told her I was tired to wear this perfect and strong mask on me (because she’s the one who fabricated it for me, she’s the one who showed me to hide this part of me) I just decided to assume the wear part of myself. And now I feel much more better, I upgraded the quantity of my antidepressant pills, came back with pink and blue cotton candy hair and with my melody costumed fake nails. My melody is the one who pushed me to break free from my anxiety, i liked her but every expected to like kuromi instead. she was the first step i walked to love myself again :)) 🥰 i lovw ur videos and your content and im truly honest with you. even if we are separated from a screen, even if we dont know each others faces. I can deeply feel how amazing and kind person you are and i even felt it the first time i watched one of your videos. so take care and continue your amazing work.❤❤❤

I know that you should work on yourself, but, maybe you can try lipstick or a tint, those kind of stuff really makes you feel better, i used to put a lot of makeup because im latin and in my area that was kind of mandatory, but, the older i get the less i need, some days i wear eyeliner, but some other day i dont, i just use the tint, that helps me to putting color on mi lips, cheeks, and some times as a shadow, i dont know, but i like to play with it, maybe those stuff helps you like they help me, because make up is for you, to make you feel better, im so sorry for what happen to you, but dont window shopping, shop something and try at home in front of a mirror as an excersise to yourself, and play with your self, for yourself, from you to you. But always working on yourself and not relying in makeup to make you feel better, because the strenght comes from inside us and the make up is just something extra. I send you a really big hug. I think if i had that kind of stuff in here i would be crazy because i wouldnt stop shopping and wanting everything😂
