I agree with about the prices going up for fruit & veggies. The weather systems is just insane with drought in 1 area & floods in another area. Even in Canada, the same produce is impacted by rising prices.

Of course there is. Such places are called "food market" and they usually sell only vegetables. And each region has a market that opens on a date, and they directly trade certain local agricultural products. However, you can buy fresh enough materials because you can directly trade agricultural products at large supermarkets that are commonly seen around you and immediately dispose of materials that are not sold or are in bad condition.
