I am SO glad you like my clock and thank you so much for the shout-out! 😊 It is definitely a conversation piece every time someone comes over! Even people that aren't really into clocks marvel at it lol I can't believe how much Menards has in your area! I had to keep pausing your video and zooming in to see what brands and flavors of things you were showing. Very impressive and I especially like the jams and jellies you were showing. I'm glad you were able to find the Shasta they have so many flavors of it I remember it from California but I couldn't handle the artificial sweetener in it although I know that doesn't seem to bother you and Kevin so that's good and I'm betting you will like the California Dreamin flavor! I learned about ruining my credit the hard way as well but I can tell you if you find yourself down don't give up less than 5 years ago my credit rating was in the high 500s and I have managed to get it to 800. And I plan to keep it there! 😊 Now if I just had the income to go with it ! 😂

FYI for anyone that cares to know. The Ninja Creami doesn’t actually make ice cream. They have a recipe book and you make the ice cream freeze it for 24 hours in one of their containers. The machine will process rock hard ice cream into a creamy consistency. It’s very loud. So not for everyone.😬

I've never heard of Rural King, but Menard's is based in Wisconsin, so they're all over the Upper Midwest. Menards doesn't have their own brand for any of the food, but if you fry fish, I recommend Shorelunch! Our Menards here in Aberdeen, South Dakota was built in the 90s and the grocery section was probably added in the late 2000s if I remember correctly.

In Australia we don’t have any plastic bags at the grocery stores! You have to bring your own bags, and if you don’t, you have to pay like 20 cents or so to buy paper bags or $2 for proper reusable bags. They stopped distributing them a few years ago - you don’t find plastic bags anywhere!!
@TamiDunn3 ай бұрын
Plastic bags are still used almost everywhere here except for Whole Foods and Trader Joe's - they have paper bags (they are free). Aldi doesn't give you squat. You bring a bag (plastic or other) or you wheel it to your car in the buggy.

In South Africa you either provide your own grocery bags, or you pay for plastic bags. Our M&S doesn't even have plastic bags, you either take your own bags or buy a fabric or cooler bag. A lot of beauty retailers (for example, The Body Shop) give you a discount if you take your empty Shampoo, Conditioner or Shower Gel bottles to them & they refill them for you instead of using more plastic. Guido was such a good Pug, but my friend has 3 senior citizen Pugs and I dont think they have stopped barking since they were 8 weeks old😂.

You aren't getting money with the bottles, we pay an extra tax when purchasing and then get it back if we come back to the store to recycle, so all bottles and cans are 5 cents more per unit in new york. Thus companies lobby against states doing this as it discourages sales.
@TamiDunn3 ай бұрын
Oh, that’s a shame.

@@TamiDunn however at whole foods, i believe in all states, bringing your own bag will give you a 10 cent discount, in fact it is per bag(if you get a nice checker) so use 3 reusable bags, get 30 cents off your purchase.

We have the bottle recycling machines. We get 10 cents per bottle, can etc. Each bottle, cans will have a small 10cent marking on it so you know what the machine accepts. Milk and juice bottles are the only bottles ive found so far thats not accepted .Before the refund machines, we had a recycling system through our rubbish collection.
@TamiDunn3 ай бұрын
Some people have said they pay more for those bottles so it’s not earning you any money when you recycle. Basically you are paying a deposit & then getting it back. Do you find this to be true? I was hopeful that people could actually make money.

Recycling bottle machines are also in Germany. You pay more for the bottle of drink though, so if the cost in the shelf is a €1 they charge €1.20 at the till. It’s up to you if you throw the 20c away for recycle it. Have you stopped doing Crumbl reviews? My worst job lasted 1 month working for a supermarket chain, programming in their IT team. Was so happy when they called me to one side and had a word. That was 30 years ago. I love credit cards, love playing the system but there’s a BIG but, you have to only spend what you normally spend and you have to pay the card in full each month. If you can’t do that without exception then stay away from credit cards. I was so lucky that my parents taught me how to be very mindful of money and to spend only what you have, invest when you can and prepare for the future. I can’t tell you how thankful I am for those lessons. Thanks for the weekly round up.

Hi Tami. It is funny to see you being so surprised that there are recycling machines in stores in Japan that gives you credit back. I live in Norway and we have had machines like that for as long as i can remember in our grocery stores. We put empty plastic water bottles, plastic soda bottles and soda cans in the in the machine and get credit back. We do not remove the label from the bottles because the machine has to register each bottles. The bootles are in different sizes and the bigger bottles give more credit back than the smaller bottles. It is very common here in Norway. All grocery stores have them. Other Scandinavian countries such as Sweden, Finland and Denmark also have these machines in their grocery stores. They are also found in a few other countries in Europe. I really like your channel and have been a subscriber for a long time.
@TamiDunn3 ай бұрын
@@Northernlights2064 That's wonderful to hear that these machines are available in other places. Our area used to recycle. We have a brown bin for regular trash and a blue bin that was given to us for recycling. I guess it was costing the county too much money because they stopped the program. We still have both bins, but they can both be used for regular garbage. If we want to recycle certain items, we have to take them in our car to do so. For this reason, most people don't bother. It's a shame because we enjoyed it. That said, I don't want garbage collecting at my house so I can take it someplace in my car later.

Oh, you would hate Thomas I guess... He's a loud little man! His breed (Maltese) has always been my favorite because of their cuteness, loyalty and personality, but boy is he anxious like me... He barks at anybody at the door, and at people he doesn't like (the same people I don't 😂). I work on redirecting him though. He also goes bonkers when he gets in a playful mood, but it's hysterical; he has made me laugh at a level that I haven't gotten to in forever! And he's a little velcro pup.. He's either stuck to me or my mom.. OR his bed! I think those Creami things are a waste of money and counterspace... And that's coming from someone who prefers making things from scratch. Idk.. Yeah it could make frozen yogurt, but it's easier for me to stick my bowl of yogurt in the freezer, and the texture is fine and I like it that way. 🤷♀ No need for me to figure out some stupid extra gadget only to get frustrated by and eventually shove in the basement. Plus I've already owned 2 ice cream makers, a big one and a small one, and where did they both go? The baaaaaasemeeeeent! Like how I feel with all single-use gadgets, unless you REALLY need the thing and it makes your life easier/better, you don't need it.

I don’t think Dollar Tree sells sparklers, but the tents are out in the Walmart parking lot. You’re right, with how things have gotten so expensive, people would be recycling for the $$. I think it’s good for people to see what an actual serving size is. Especially is you are watching what you eat. I do NOT believe in restriction or cutting out foods that you enjoy, it is all about balance as you said. A dog that can’t lick their butt! 😂 I can’t do a yappy dog either.
