1997 Grade 5 ako nyan. Nung 90s yung Mom ko store manager ng Mister Donut SM Megamall. Every weekend nasa Mega kami. Ung mga arcade attendants noon binibigyan lang ng nanay ko ng donut maghapon na kami mag Street Fighter sa arcade ng utol ko. Good ol' days. I miss the 90s. Walang tatalo sa dekada na yan.

As someone who was born in 1998, I just love watching vintage 'vlogs' like this. How was life like then and seeing the pre-renovated facades of the buildings before like the SM Megamall. 5:19 Concorde grabe i miss my dad. kapag nag shashop kami sa Megamall since wala syang pasensya sumama samen ng mama ko bumili ng damit at sapatos, ang go to place nya is Concorde. Kahit walang kailangan, nakakahanap ng bibilhin para sa sasakyan, or dagdag sa tools nya. anything. i wish we still had our v8 tapes back in the days. grabe nung araw, bitbit mo talaga yang video cam if you want to capture memories. pero d mapapantayan ang saya dati, compared sa ngayon. i swear.

I was 26 yrs old and single pa at that time.1997... pero from 1987-1992,( COLLEGE DAYS) ( 16 yrs old until 21) MEgamall , SM north Edsa, Ali Mall, tambayan namin mga friends and school mates noon. Lagi kami ng mga friends ko sa megamall ICE SKATING RINK noon.. Hindi pa masyado uso cellphones.. although.. nag uumpisa na ang NOKIA noon 1997 , pero meron ng Motorola BRICK phone and bag phone in 1997 sa USA and sa pinas na din, although mga mayayaman lang meron CEllphone . nakakaiyak… parang gusto ko bumalik sa panahon na yan. 1997 grade 3 ako nyan ang saya lang pag nakakapunta ng sm. naalala ko pumunta kami ni mama sa sm pinapili nya ako ng laruan, pinili ko ung spider-man sabi nya kasi may ipangreregalo sya. yun pala yung christmas gift nya sakin sa pasko.. ang dadi(lolo) ko naman dinadala kami sa glorietta at sm megamall para mamasyal. ang saya lang talaga non, ngayon may trabaho na ako kung tutuusin kayang kaya na bumili ng jollibee, sapatos at kung ano ano pa pero iba pa din nung 90s pag binibilhan ka nila mama, papa, lolo, lola ng mga ganyan.. parang mas masarap nga jollibee non nasa styro pa haha oh well the good old days :’)

I don't why but 1997 is a very special year in my heart. I'm just 6 years old at that time, but coming from the province, it's the first time I rode a plane to Manila, and first time ko din ma experience gumala sa mga malalaking mall gaya nung sa video. Di masyado vivid ang memories pero I knew I was at my most happiest as a kid back in that year.

For us, a trip to Megamall in the 90s only happens when our father or a ninang came home from abroad. I think twice lang ako nakapagmegamall nong 90's kahit taga Quezon city lang kami. It was such a treat. I had vivid memories of how amazing the ice skating rink looked and inggit na inggit ako sa mga nag skating.

Yung pinapalabas na Star Wars eto yung 1997 Edition na original trilogy may mga konting added scenes, most notably yung Coruscant scene sa ending ng "Return of the Jedi." Ginawa ng Lucasfilm eto para magcreate ng hype in preparation for "The Phantom Menace" in 1999. Tamaraw FX din ang first car namen noon, Standard lang walang power steering. We bought it in 1997. Namasada din kame ng FX para extra income at may inaallot na seat saken sa harapan tuwing hatid sundo ako from PIQC to Marikina.

I remember the old days, being taken to megamall as a kid by my tito and tita ..Riding at the back of the car ,waiting for us to arrive to the mall....Decades later , here i am as an adult, being able to go there on my own, doing my own driving... its just very nice to pause and get reminded what our lives was back in the day...
