I grew up with my mom thrifting because she was a single parent raising 6 children. I love thrifting to this day and 90% of my home is thrifted items.

Love the vase you got your Mom. It is really so pretty and she is gonna love it. I didn't grow up thrifting but got laid off from a job in 2008. I had a friend that thrifted, did yard sales on the regular. She got me hooked! I soon found out that was the places to go to find treasures for your home and later change it if it didn't fit your style or taste. I will pick a thrift store any day, over a big box store. No shame in my game.

DianeR. I am positive that your vase is the pattern called Cornflower. It was hugely popular from the 50s onward and I was married in 67 and had a ton of it. Enjoy

You’re right about people that didn’t grow up thrifting my family did not. I started going to thrift stores in my 40’s a friend of mine took me and I began to enjoy. I mentioned to my mom and she said no way. I have 5 sisters and they’re NOT loaded with money and they cringe when I tell them of the bargains I find. LIKE YOU SAID MORE FOR ME 👍.

Loved that vase! Isnt it crazy it was only $4.99 but the basket was $6.99? You’d think it would be the other way around but thats Goodwill. Not sure how they figure their pricing!
