The older I get, the more minimalist my wardrobe becomes. T-shirt (usually white), capris, very good walking shoes. Light and medium weight hoodies. I change up my earrings.

I have a larger than average minimalist wardrobe. I wear black Lands End swim capris as spring and fall bottoms. They feel like supportive leggings and the skirt on the bottom adds a layer that flatters me. I love this look. I also wear a-line dresses a lot in summer and layer under and over them in spring and fall. I am very happy with my clothes. I continue to minimize. You have helped me a lot-especially with color and with enjoying watching your channel. Thanks.

I have been enjoying your videos. I would say that I have a minimalist desire and a minimalist wardrobe compared to other people. My thing is that I sew my clothing which helps with fit issues on my post menopausal body and making things I like instead of buying the "trends" that most stores carry. I also live in a small rural town and don't have many options for stores and don't want to spend my time at the post office returning things that didn't work. My problem comes from buying fabric and that I can get carried away and get ahead of myself. So I treat fabric buying like building a minimalist wardrobe, I need to have a plan for it, it needs to fit in with my color palette and it needs to be for the current season or the one closely coming up and quality fabrics so that my garments survive my lifestyle and sewing machine.

Nancy I waver between going minimal and colorful ... in abundace. The season and my life at the time, dictates this. Clearly I love it all. Black turtlenecks/ mock turtlenecks. I often buy 2 to 3 at a time when I find one that fits, same with white and black T-shirts. I also do the same with my jeans, but usually about two other style and color.

I like this concept. I'd say I'm a hybrid in that I often gravitate towards this solid, neutral palette and I can imagine being happy with only those pieces yet I also LOVE throwing in prints from Cleobella or Anthropologie. Overall I lean this way but love to mix it up and I love options! We have so many beautiful, interesting choices but generally speaking, I am more inclined to this kind of closet. Just more! ;)

Since retiring I have curated my wardrobe to mix and match together, but I will never be a minimalist because it does not suit my style at all. I find it too boring and predictable for myself. Comfort, fit and style are key to me. I always like adding something extra to an outfit to make it more modern and edgier. Appreciate that some women prefer to go more minimalist though; each to her own!

I really wish I had a minimal wardrobe. That’s just not me. I overpack if I go anywhere, because I like choices in what I wear. Im not a minimalist anywhere in my house. I like stuff. I don’t have hardly any black in my wardrobe. Maybe some sweaters, jeans and sweatpants. I have way more white and navy. I am retired. And I live out in the country. And I don’t do much. And I do go through my closet quite often. I share the closet with my husband. He gets a small piece and I get the rest. He has very little clothing. So he doesn’t need much room. I’m trying all the time to get like that. But it’s just not me. And I have more clothes in the guest bedroom closet. Which I would love to clean out. I know my daughter and son in law are coming to visit at the end of this month. And they will be staying in the guest bedroom. There are also a whole lot of pillows in that closet. I need some more space bags to fit them into. I will order some after this video. I think I have five or six denim jackets. And I only wear the real denim ones. So I may donate the rest. I have a lot of shoes too. I did buy some kitten heel boots that are actually comfortable. I probably have close to ten pairs of sneakers. I wear the almost same thing everyday. A pair of denim bermuda shorts and a t shirt. So I have a lot of t shirts. All I do is pick which one I will wear for my day. I have other pairs of shorts. I have a white pair of denim shorts. But I ruined a pair of white jeans sitting on the bleachers at my granddaughter’s graduation. So I’m afraid to wear them anywhere. I did wear them shopping one day. But I have other colors, I just pick the blue denim. I’m going to look in my shorts drawer. And get rid of whatever is in there. I don’t wear them. And it finally getting cooler here, this week. So I’m going to need pants. My husband will wear his shorts until it gets into the 50’s. I don’t. And he probably only has four pairs of shorts he wears. He has a minimalist wardrobe. I don’t.

I think Nancy's top is adorable and on trend not frumpy or boxy. The fresh, whimsical shape must be throwing you off but that kind of change helps spice up your wardrobe and keeps you from looking like you're wearing the same predictable, boring t-shirt in a different color. Try it, you'll like it!
