+Suresh NY Thanks! I wish I had them all, one guy in our club showed his collection (not everything) but he is so good he just collects Silkstone only, wow I just can't stick to one doll. Oh no really just not used to it? what do you think? You have to be careful with them they can loose fingers but I have never done it thank goodness, that's why I needed a cabinet for them. Glad you enjoyed my collection video.

The Mila is my favorite of the Russian Silkstones. The one next to her with hand on hip is Holiday Continental Gift Set. The white haired with the yellow shiny outfit is the Palm Beach Honey which I almost bought, but I dragged my feet about that one and she got snatched up. I almost regret not getting that one. The one I want most and cannot afford is the Palm Beach Coral. The blonde in the red dress-makers dress is 'Ingenue', a beautiful doll.

You got her for only $50????? You surely lucked out. I currently have a 3rd, yup, a 3rd 45th Anniversary blonde on a short 1-month lay-away. Can't help it, love that one. (She is a reasonable $64.) Love your Silkstone collection!

evimlck I was trying to figure out where I got her, Gilt is the site they used to have silkstone all the time, you had to get membership to buy on there but such great deals but having seen anything good on there for ages. I love the 45th one too!

I wanna get the Thanksging barbie with the turkey platter. I have about 35 silkstones. I don't keep them in their boxes. I unbox them then throw the boxes away. I don't even keep the certificates. They look so pretty out and displayed.

I'm a Silkstone 'boxer' collector. There is nothing wrong with protecting your collection by leaving them in their box. I've devised a way to leave them in their box and enjoy them too. Sit the inside box in the outside box. Have it open then wrap the entire thing in cellophane. You can get it from Michael's craft store by the roll. Note this ... if you take your dolls out of their box, you cut their value in half. Especially with Silkstone. If you ever want to or think you might want to sell them, leave them in their box. If you do decide to take them out of their box, keep the box, COA, label, ribbon, netting (if your doll has any), make note of how the doll is tied in the box and tissue paper so that you can re box them later. Meanwhile, cover the empty boxes so no dust or any harm can come to them. ;)

No, leave your 'In the Pink' Silkstone in the box. She looks good in the box and can still be displayed like that. I missed out on Delphine, so I will copy the gown and I want to make it in pink.

I love your silkstones I am getting show girl in pink She was taken out of the box looked at and then put back in You say they are very fragile Do there legs bend at all how careful do you have to be I have about 160 barbies and show girl will be my first silkstone. Thanks for sharing.

SilverArrowNZ Their legs don't bend at knee, I don't really play with them I just dress them and displayed. I would just be gentle you should be ok. They are heavy so be careful not to drop.

Yes in the earlier Years you could get the furniture maybe 2001? I dont know the only place now would be on Ebay. People might be hording them now.. Gorgeous Vanity set.

Thank you for watching! Silkstones I would join Barbie collector as they have some dolls right now discounted, also you can ebay or go to doll shows or conventions they have Barbie convention once a year, or the GAW is once a year mini convention.

The tape ruins the hair if you don’t inbox them the adhesive dissolved over time and makes the hair gooey and erodes it u should inbox them they still have a lot of value if u take care of them out if the box

Do not de-box your 'Garden Party' outfit. It looks too good in the box, better than on the doll, believe it or not. I have that blushing one, 'Blush Becomes Her' and it looks fantastic in the box. (I just looked up the name, had forgotten, lol)
