Yesterday I caught a saddled bream and decided to try for the first time to use a live bait (from the boat). I hooked it onto the only "strong" equipment I had with me at the time- max 150 rod, PE2.5, 50 leader, 3000 spool, and let it swim around with maybe 20m of line out. I had preset my drag almost to maybe 7kg (approx). Within 4 minutes the fish attacked. I had never seen such immediate speed of my reel getting spooled. Probably wrong but I put the drag to absolute maximum within 10 seconds as I realised this was insane, the line was still not breaking thankfully, and I just watched while all my line (probably not a big amount given the reel!) got spooled- I dont think it lasted over 30 seconds. Of course it could be a smaller fish than in this video as my equipment was weaker, but the experience was "IDENTICAL". Out of curiosity, how often have you had this happen?

Hey man! Yes, Tunas are bitches! The last years, despite the fact that their population is growing, I try to avoid them!
@vsonic865 жыл бұрын
Please excuse for my comment but how could you get spool by a tuna even though you were using Daiwa Saltiga 4500H. I thought with size 4500H, it should be able to handle tuna at any size? Could it be your PE.3? What consider a minimum PE. for tuna?

I was with light braid but also the fish was more than 100kg

Hi Sir, I see the rod action during the fight and I think I can say it is a very powerful rod, I check the DM in DURO series which action is a little bit different to the ACCURA and I was asking to my self what's the best option between DURO 100H or ACCURA 100H for Shore Jigging with jiggs and other lures in a 50 to 150 range, for deep places arround 30 to 60 meters with rocky bottom in hard currents and winds when the time is hard but not the usual, with your experience can you tell me what of these rod series do you recommended me? I am targeting for big amberjack and tuna (30 to 50 kilos) with a Daiwa spool 4500H to 5000H or Shimano 8000 to 10000 which body is the same... And 3 to 3.5 PE. I am not sure which one is these models ACCURA or DURO is the best for the Jon, I have see many videos traduced on ZENAQ YT, your *angler voice comment* on ZENAQ official web about the ACCURA 100H too, but not to much information about DURO series. I am confused about these two series even after wacth Zenaq official YT channel videos about these two models. I see more people using ACCURA models than DURO models in a Shore Jigging case. That's have any answer sir??

Hi Fran. The bending curve of these two rods is different. Duro is more stiff, while Accura is more progressive. Duro is a stiffer rod for focusing on technical lure controllability. A stiffer rod is very good for casting and manipulating lure precisely, but it gives more fatigue on your body in several actions like casting, fighting fish, etc. But how Duro works in strong winds (against or side wind) is excellent. If experts want very precise control in tough condition, Duro would de a good Choice. Accoura is designed for using long time with a minimum tiredness on your body. Also it helps you to get a minimum fatigue on your body in fight against fish. Please take a look at differences when each rod has load on, on Zenaq page. As you can see, when fish runs, load goes directly to angler’s body. But with the same action on Accoura, a rod absorbs load from fish with its flexible blank, so even if the same load was on a rod, Accoura makes load on angler’s body minimum. Also, Accoura gives big pressure on fish with a small power by its flex bending of a whole rod, so it raises a possibility of landing bigger fish even if standing position was unstable. Siffer rods are truly the best for lure control, but breaking limits tend to be lower. Accoura can endure against huge load with a whole rod, it has mush higher breaking strength, although it appears to be softer. Duro is hard, but breaking limit is lower. Use Duro when precise lure control is demanded in strong winds or simply very technical lure control is needed. When you have to keep casting for very long time, choose Accoura which decreases fatigue in all the action into half. Accoura supports casting, lure action, fighting fish with small tiredness. Accoura raises possibility to fish big target even if angler is a beginner. But if an expert angler wants to tray own techniques in many ways, Duro could be a great choice. I hope this helps you to chose...

@@MarkosVidalis Thank you so much Mr. Markos, I have checked all the videos on ZENAQ official web but still a little bit confused, btw I really think both rods are amazing tools and able to land what ever you want from shore a except of some tuna sizes obviously because the fuc*ing rocky bottom and if he just too huge he will spooled you. But how it is not an cheap waste I was asking to myself which could be the best. After checked a lot of videos from Motobayashi, you, and other experts in the case I am very sure that either one will do the job perfectly. But like accura is more frecuent to use because even if current are strong and wind too, the RG guide system do the job perfectly on the way of keep the line tight and the enough sharp action of the ACCURA series make it able to give jigs a proper movement and if you hook a giant (+20 kg) with a 120g jig on a 40 meters of deep spot after 100 or 120 meters of cast... That's what I mean when the power for these beast is needed, not taking about the reel right now, but obviously have the same importance than the rod, and after check your vids and other mores, ACCURA is an exceptional rod when you need power to drag a huge fish from the bottom of the sea, higher breaking limit (ideal to lift small and medium size fish) and from the rod tip to the handle grip it looks incredible powerful when you are fighting a fish. No too much informative videos about the DURO series but is experts anglers are happy enough with ACCURA series it will be not for anything. Thank you so much again for the answer Mr. Markos, you always here to solve our stupids questions 😂😂😂. Keep it up mate 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼.
