Just came across this prior to installing my own. Funny but MY TWO self-centering rollers correctly orient towards the TOWING VEHICLE and are in jibe with the embossed "towards vehicle." in the center of the roller.

Mine definitely weren't! They escalated this all the way to engineering, who told me they were embossed wrong. They sent me multiple shipments that were all wrong. Glad they fixed it!

Sorry for this late reply If toward vehicle arrow is pointing toward the vehicle your boat is to be loaded from the other direction then u are pushing the the angle iorn. When loading your boat the nose is going toward the vehicle therefore the roller would spin the correct way and realign the boat.

Thanks for responding. Well, it turns out the direction is opposite of what Shoreline is recommending. So in my experience in this type of application, test the roller before installation. Because -- you don't want to have it installed backwards! Or... just buy a standard roller. :)

Your correct about vehicle meaning the boat. I have one on my trailer and it works great.

Thanks for watching! I agree. On the other hand, Shoreline was confident enough that they sent me two sets of replacements. So, apparently there is a problem in their QA department!

what about the turn on the right side?

I'm not sure what you mean about the turn on the right side?

@@marksatterfield Well, the rotation of that roller on the first half of the video would push your boat off the center line of the roller, so you flipped it and then the "boat" keel centers. But in both examples you come in (imaginary) on the left side of the roller or right to left. so what about the right rotation? If you would come in left to right would the would it still center the keel of the boat?

I replaced my Keel Roller with the simple Black Smith 12” Roller it’s worked great since 1982 on my EZ loader trailer. …..this is more of a sales gimmick.

I expect you are right, and having them backwards will definitely cause problems
