After first 4 services, the stock silencer (also known as the bazooka) has been replaced with the company made RE short bottle silencer. It costs around 1600, doesn't affect the mileage or decreases by max 1 km at times, doesn't violate the standard Sound policy of the state and good for the rider and the bike.. Make sure you listen to the video with a good quality headphones to hear the thump clearly.

Guys, I have an Electra 2016 and I've changed the stock silencer to RE branded short bottle after 4th service. Although it increased the sound level a bit high, just like in this video, but I never felt that it's quite that close to the original sweet but not very loud noise of the old bullets (I don't like unreal and loud silencer sound at all). However, to my surprise several times I heard the new model classic, standard and Electras passing on the road producing the the exact sound of the CI bullets and I could only see that they were fitted with a short bottle silencer. I have never managed to talk to one of them to find which silencer they have fitted on their bullets so that I could find one too. Believe me, when you hear it, its exactly the same old model CI engine bullets' sound. Not the muffled high pitch hollow sound of some of the cheap short bottle silencers out there. So my point is there is a short bottle silencer which can give you exactly the samd sound of the olf bullet, but I don't know which brand or type is that.

Short bottle comes in almost 5 varieties.. 1.. Hollow one known as punjabi, it gives just the treble with little bass,, 2.. single baffled one sounds close to free flow but wont produce that disturbing treble noises.. 3.. two baffled one, it produces the most similar tone to the old ci bullets little bit bass and little bit treble at balanced level.. 4.. three baffled one, authentic indori, it produces that tone of ci bullet but wont have that bass that ci produces with the very same exhaust.. 5.. the exhaust from above video,from royal enfield asc which will have added perforated tubes , it sounds more like upswept offroad silencer, rather than like ci bullet.. so to answer your question, 2 baffled indori sounds closest to ci thump, next to that 3 baffled indori... But with lesser decibels.. Premnath Rao that's cool.. but it's not old bullet sound.. u can never get an old bullet sound in the UCE engine.. because the sound comes from the engine knocking and not because of the silencer.. u need old bullet sound, you should get the old bullet engine itself.. 😊 sorry to disappoint but that's the truth..

After 2000km I changed my company silencer to wildboar and it gives 45kmpl mileage Till now 7500 has completed Now I changed to company silencer because of police checking My frnds got 5000rupees penalty for fixing the large noise exhauster . Now I am planning to buy shortbottle not from outside stores because they don't have old shortbottle .I am also staying at tvpm. Bro whats ur mileage now.

PS Ananthu i get 43.. i have changed my tyres.. mileage keeps fluctuating.. depends on my riding.. sometimes i am too fast, sometimes offroading, sometimes highway cruising.. mileage has dropped till 36-37.. the main advantage is the engine noise, i have no vibrations or "chan chan" from the engine.. wild boar overheats the bend pipe, they are all not good for UCE bikes..

Legacy Garage but I found that heating is normal even after covering 240km long ride . Daily I cover 60km at that time also i check the heating but it's quite normal .I had engine over heating only when I bought the vehicle after covering some kms its get vanished and now its normal. Dear friend I am not telling that u r wrong I'm just the fact that I experienced.

Suren Potshangbam brother.. I bought it from Concept Bikes, Trivandrum.. the silencer is manufactured by a vendor associated with RE. They don't sell it in outside market.. not really sure if it has any relation with older bullet silencers..

Hey, I got this from the dealer itself. While purchasing the bike, I had 3 options of silencers.. one of them is this one, short bottle.. RE has a vendor that manufactures this and they didn't dsclose it.. also this vendor do not sell it separately.. the dealer I purchased is Concept bikes, here in Trivandrum.. I also enquired for BS4 and yes, there is a short bottle even for BS4..

Sorry brother.. i guess at present they have phased out selling this silencer.. I purchased from RE itself, from the same dealer where i bought the bullet.. Since BS4, this silencer has been almost stopped, however just check with the dealer near your place.

siraj k its all luck.. 😊 they will catch red roosters for sure, the barrel, punjabi long bottle, wild boars, shark etc.. short bottle is the safest.. except mini punjab, any short bottle is perfect..

Febin Lazar 1. Best seating posture among all three models.(thunderbird has a good one, but not for tall riders) 2. Has disc, so better than the standard models which lacks good brakes. 3. Has gas shockers in rear so better than standard which has conventional shocks which is poor in comfort. 4. Chassis is the age old enfield chassis. Better than classic in terms or riding stability and control. Good maneuverability. 5. Mileage is 47. Heard of 55 from people who care the bullet better than me.. 😅 6. It is carburetor model. Has beter pulling than classic 350s, 500s and standard 500. It also has good expert mechanics all around the country. Outside mechanics have no idea of how to fix EFI model engine issues. You have to rely only on service centers, which do not have expert mechanics. They have trained juniors and freshers. Only some selected service centers have experts. 6. The only bullet that has a look cliser to the older models. 7. Classic spring seats are good only on highways rides. But our country has highways with potholes and bumps. So in such cases where continuous braking, the spring adds stress to the spine, not suitable for indian roads. Electra has the traditional seating, and looks with modern features like disc, gas shocks and self start. In my opinion, Royal Enfield Electra is an all rounder. You can take it to off road to how much ever extent. Key points: 1. Pre delivery inspection - check all electricals before delivery - check kms run. New bikes should have less than 10kms run. Anything more than that means, it has either been test driven or returned by other customer. - check chassis number and make sure the engine is manufactured jn the same month. - start the bike and leave it for a minute or 2 to see if engine keeps running or stops. It shouldnt stop. 2. Run-In period- the bike should be taken care just as it is said in the manual.must read the manual.

Hi Milan. Yes, Royal Enfield sells these. Apart from the long stock silencer, there is a short bottle like this one, and an offroad silencer like in the classic ones.

thanks for the reply....the stock long silencer bumps on the road as it has low ground clearance...i knew about the offroad silenecer(upswept silencer ) but i had no idea about this one ..it looks good and sounds the same as the long stock silencer..i guess i will be putting this one now 😃 cheers 👌✌✌

Its a great one. It also has slightly better thump than the long silencer, not so cracky but has a deep base while riding.. Its a good try for 1650 bugs.. Also because it is company silencer, it is not going to affect the engine and its warranty (if bike is new) B-)

Hi Irfan. i think they do have it in all showroom. It is an optional while buying the bike.. Please expect only a lower level of bass in the sounds (far better than the stock).. It gradually improves after riding.. contact your nearest dealer, they will have it possibly.

Vishva Shukla i brought this from Concept bikes, Kazhakootam. Its in Trivandrum. They are RE dealers and have this option with them, even for BS4. Yes you can fit in classic models, infact all bullets.

brother.. 😊 its not an old silencer. It is the new type short bottle sold by RE dealers themselves. Old silencer is different. The punjab short bottle (not mini punjab, just Punjab). You will definitely get that in pune. DO NOT BUY ANY ACCESSORY FROM ONLINE SITES.
