What software do you use to write out transcriptions in your lessons? I've tried Musescore but it doesn't work well with drums (unnecessary rest symbols, lack of drum specific notation etc) and the free web ones don't have everything I need either

Yeah I use Musescore. I like it! Maybe I’ll put together a tutorial with some tips on how to write drums in it. But mostly I use two “voices” 1 for hi hats and 2 for kick and snare. That seems to keep things pretty neat.
