That's the best looking and best shooting Hungarian I've ever seen you review. Biocomposites usually get faster as the break in I own 2 long Turkish bows they became more comfortable to shoot the longer I had them and the draw length gets better also. He does a great job. These bows need to be treated nicely the only downfall is the horn plate can be fragile arrow wieght should in my opinion be around 9 gpp to be safe thank you both for letting us have a look at this beautiful little monster. Thanks for all you do my friend!🎯🎯🎯😁😁😁

Bought a horsbow from csaba in 2007. 60p at 26 inches. Got it cheap, because of defects in the gluing of the tips, so the repair with some tendon strings wrapped around the ends has worked fine so far. NO complaints here, even the string is still the original.

Benedek Benko hi I am also interested in the Hungarian biocomposite. How is the bow in term of speed and handshock? Also I know the bow is only as accurate as I can be but in term of point and shoot is it pretty good or more like arrow sprinkler?

Hi Andy, sorry I just noticed your reply. Mine one is #56 feels quick, but I don’t have equipment to measure speed. I don’t feel handshock too much either the handle is a bit square as Armin said in the video but I got used to it now, I only had it for just over a month yet, I achieved really tight groops with it and broke a few arrows with “robin hood”...

Nice review and beautiful bow. The sound is the back end of the arrow hitting the hard horn handle. Notice that it quiets down with side khatra or shooting Mediterranean draw. Btw there is fiberglass in it between the wood and press horn/ sinew layers.

Question: do you get better speed out of Asian bows vs. European bows? (Beautiful bow you are reviewing this video) I want a good hunting bow traditional shooting style with good power but light enough to shoot everyday. Can it be done in lighter pounds draw (35-40 pounds)? What arrows do you recommend for best effect hunting? (I'm assuming you hunt) Deer is the most common hunted animal in this area but also we have boar. What experience do you have in this area? Just curious. I'm trying to learn the Asian thumb ring style of shooting also. I have always shot European style traditional archery. (Longbow and recurve).

This is an amazing bow and a great review! Secondly, I have watched some others seem like professionals (I don't know to be exact) who say that a string twist is a bad idea when it comes to hornbows because it can twist and affect the alignment of the siyahs and the string.. Which will make us want to keep adjusting after every shot. What is your say on this?

Say fiberglass bows will be suitable for all kinds of climate and harsh treatment, like say during humid conditions or if it's left strumg for a while... While in the mean time some laminated bows would damage quite easily... And I remember you telling about the asymmetric jackal bow which wild easily snap if it wasnt strung properly. Things like that.. Once again I apologize for not being very clear. Have a good day.

@@faizalnizar8261, sorry but you are talking about of totally out of topics. The fiber glass bows, the laminated bow, the biocompozit bows and the traditional made bows are different classes at all, so is not very proper and fair to compare them. The bows must be compared in their one type and class. Is not fair to compare for instance a fiberglass Manchu Bow with an Assyrian Biocompozit Bow, even is is about the same power.

@@ArminHirmer the proplem with the extra III horn bow was, that it isn't constructed historically accurate. The wooden core is laminated with modern clues and the laminations go over and under the handle, instead of v split like originals. But the main issue is with the bio composite, cus it is sold as pressed horn bow, when it isn't real horn, and the clue layers "fiber strengtening" Is glass fibre laminate. Some people think it means sinew fibers. So it isn't "bio" Cus it is using glass fiber and plastic

1. Sinew is sinew. Doesn't matter where it comes from. The important part is its tensile strength. 2. I'm pretty skeptical about the horn material being "some kind of plastic". You can scrape or cut a tiny bit of it off (doesn't take much at all) and burn it. Smells like burning hair. Hair is keratin, horn is keratin, plastic smells very different. Try it (I did). Also, FB is toxic.

Great review! I shoot 4 Grozer bows (the 2 Assyrians, the biocomposite Scyt. and the L2 Tartar) and they are all great, I like them more than anything else I've had the chance to try. Regarding this Hungarian, those ears look like overlayed, not V-spliced, am I right? I wonder if this always means more mass (everything else being equal) and if this brings a noticeable decrese in speed. I also wonder if this was a choice for more historical accuracy (or earlier hungarian bows had overlayed ears and later ones V-spliced?)
